I'm so sick of the Pistons!!!!! They knew Ivey wasn't a good defender before they drafted him!!!!!!!!!!!! Most rookies are horrible defenders coming out of college!!!!! He's the 5th pick and now they don't even want him because of DEFENSE?????! BS!! there's something else going on!!! Btw. Killian Hayes is a BUST!!! Troy Weaver just can't get that through his thick skull!!! Btw stewart isn't a good defender!!! Now explain that?????
Monty overrated af. And how is it about defense when we are still giving up 120 pts a night. Get Monty and Weaver tf outta here.
They aren’t the Pistons until they Defend. However Ivey is your microwave. Keep in mind they traded Bey because he can’t Defend.
Ivey and Cade are the same player just slightly different attributes, Weaver will get good value moving Ivey
Why not move Cade to SF with Ivey and Sasser. 🤷♂️
To me it's the inconsistent message of defense and mistakes from Monty. For instance is Cade's league leading turnovers not detrimental to winning but Monty is allowing him to play through it. Playing Harris in the clutch (pre injury) doesn't scream defensive mind set. Monty seems to be singling out Ivey which is the problem. If you are building an identity then the message needs to consistent for everyone but clearly not the case.
That's weird because Killan gets cooked every night by opposing guards and he can't shoot. That defensive identity is not working for him. Monty doesn't know what he's doing. Stweart gets cooked every night also. Cade is a turnover machine.
I've read the comments…I FEEL YALL… but hear this…maybe Monte is allowing growth…from hunger(critique or identifying greatness)….but has to motivate..Kevin Knox..shit imagine how hungry he's gonna be…I'm just saying…and I hate to say it's a process…D is gonna be fine..

now i see why Phoenix got rid of Monty..last time i checked Booker did not play D like rodman!!! Monty is just not making troy look terrible but nutz!!! using ivey 5th pick n played just as well as cade's rookie yr.. and the trade troy made using saddig for wisemen and he played decent down the stretch offensively. ..there is no great defense players on pistons w exception of Ausar and he has learning process…if Booker truly liked monty ,he would still be coaching the suns..hard for me to believe ivey is a bad seed , he said everything right last yr and comes fr great basketball family
