I definitely hope Bouknight gets a shot. I haven't been a fan and still am not, but I have always felt that he is a second coming of Malik Monk for the Hornets. The main issue for both of them, IMO, is/was maturity in their first few years in the league, and I think Malik has now admitted that upon reflection.
I could see Bouknight being a damn solid contributor on an NBA team, which would make him damn near a starter on the Hornets, unfortunately 😂. But, and I preface this by disclaiming that this is a way outside opinion based on the limited things I can see, read, etc…, the guy just carries himself like and comes across as an immature dude not ready to be a grown up in the NBA. If/once he overcomes that, I think the talent is there.
Maybe we'll see; maybe we won't. Not everyone gets a second chance like Malik did.

Since summer league Doug has been extremely negative when it comes to Brandon Miller and Nick Smith Jr. Nick solves the shooting problem and scoring problem but he is unplayable because he could pass better? Interesting
Regarding Clifford, I like the dude–I think. And, I think, I like the approach of building a winner the right way, meaning one that can actially "DO SOMETHING!" should they make the playoffs.
Question: would you rather them make the play in and get trounced Borrego style, or would you rather have them struggle early season, get it together the way Clifford wants and come up short of the play in, but look like a legit playoff team by the end of the season?
Kind of heartbreaking either way, so as CLT sports fans, we are bound to get one.
Clifford is the coach you get when you want to closet tank. He manages like a baseball team, making changes after they lose. How about try to out coach the other guy during a game?!

Clifford’s in game adjustments have been horrible so has his rotations if he’s worried about being fired for a playin exit he should be worried about being fired for this garbage he’s producing. This team has shown to be elite on offense. It’s a huge step backwards to be horrible on offense and bad on defense.

Weird question: how is it Clifford’s fault for that atrocious defense we are playing. I understand that a coach has to teach the principles, but isn’t it ultimately up to the players to buy in. It just looks like half the team hates the defensive floor
