It’s amazing how during this entire time AND THE LAST 3 SEASONS no one rightfully called out Nurse for failing to develop the roster, during what Masai himself called a development phase.

Kudos to Darko for helping the entire roster.

Can anyone who understands the rules of the CBA and contracts let me know if Malachi can be extended at any time during the season? I don’t think we should do it right now and maybe never lol but just wondering if that’s potentially on the table

Hoping Malachi can develop a consistent positive impact…

But let’s talk about the increasing likelihood that Dennis is going to be a Raptors legend by the end of his time here. Lowry-lite.

  4. “Dennis is very invested in him”. Just night and day from the old guard — Dennis is such a valuable addition to this team

  5. Holy shit that interviewers voice is annoying

Looking forward to Malachi’s ceiling to keep going up! I know his floor is a pylon.

Coaches can take your confidence away when they fuck with your minutes, rotations, or hold you to a completely different level of responsibility than others on the team. You look at the Spurs for instance and how Pop will get after you no matter if you’re Tim Duncan or the 12th man in the rotation. That’s a level of accountability up and down the roster was just not something that was present here.

Winning heals all wounds though, so when things are going good it’s easy to move past that. When things are going hard, and you’re still managing your roster the same way, thats when cracks begin to show.

He still needs to keep getting better, but it’s clear as day he was shell shocked under Nick. Now he’s got a coach who believes in him, and vets who believe in him. I hope he continues on this path. He’s been getting better bit by bit every single game.
