Dare I say KAT is fast becoming a above average defender?
Not having to be the “#1 option” is benefitting him on both ends IMO. His role is well defined in this elite defense with two studs (Jaden and Rudy). It’s well schemed and communicated. He just needs to be a cog in the machine and do his job and he is doing it very well
The KAT sequence, I think, in the 3rd quarter was a great sign. KAT thought he got fouled and was about to complain while the Spurs pushed it to the other end. KAT instead of complain, ran his ass to the other end of the Court and played perfect vertical defense to disrupt the Spurs shot in the lane and NAW got the rebound. Can see he’s finally addressing his emotions. Hope it continues.
Ant is somehow exceeding my (already high) expectations. Wolves are too.
I thought the “Ant can be an MVP candidate THIS season” was people getting a bit too excited, but hey he could def be top 4 in voting if he keeps playing like this and Wolves are a top seed…
Only 8 games but he’s shooting 50/41/82 on 60% TS. His midrange shots using the glass seem sustainable bc there’s a method to the madness. Besides his efficiency, the most impressive thing to me is his assists, not only to Rudy but to three point shooters. He really can do it all if he wants to :’) It really feels like he’s near his prime and he’s only 22.
