Explain: Warriors rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis survives repeated isolation attacks by Nikola Jokic

by @EricApricot

In the 2023-11-06=8.GSW-DEN Golden State Warriors – Denver Nuggets game, injuries forced the Warriors to play Trayce Jackson-Davis for stretches guarding NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. Jokic got serious in the 3rd quarter and repeatedly isolated Trayce, but despite getting the best of Trayce one-on-one, the Warriors team defense stood up and even managed to turn a deficit into a lead.

Co-starring Brandin Podziemski, Chris Paul, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

  1. every time i see Podziemski play i think oh kerr give up on the game but then i see the reincarnation of divincenzo in the game and the team actually somehow making a comeback

  2. wow, I didn't expect this post(because we lost) but I so much love that you are showing what we fans are excited about this season and then dissecting and highlighting the plays these rooks are doing. That is why they are positive in the plus/minus category despite playing little minutes.

Its time to win another Championship!!! 🎉🎉🎉

  3. Warriors boys were ok and all, but what really impressed me was How big! of a crybaby to the reffs , lil joker has become…. Lloros for every play asking for fouls that didnt exist…
Almost as if he fr took to heart that forced friendship the nba imposed him and lukiluka

  4. The BENCH is BETTER than the starters. – Duh! Wiggs, dud..Klay, dud..Dray, dud..Loon, ..? who's left? Steph is all the starters got that's any good, at this point. WTF are the coaches thinking?

  5. thank you so much for doing a video after a loss lots of good things to take away especially from the rookies. love the vids

  6. So many talking heads high on Kuminga and Moody. The real potential is with TJD and Podz. Why? They have what's required between the ears. JK and Moody may never pan out to anything more than great potential and tertiary role players. Could be wrong, but they, at this point, especially JK, seem to indicate that they don't have the inner workings in their heads to be able to achieve their potentials as seen (hoped) by so many. JK has all the physical potential in the world, far greater than most of his league peers, but whether or not he'll have the smarts needed to maximize that physical advantage is questionable. E.g., Gerald Green could jump out of the gym, but was limited by his noggin. (Need to clarify that all NBA players, when compared to the average BB player at all other levels, are smart. If they weren't, they wouldn't be in the league. So, when I'm talking about sufficiency or not of BB intelligence for "greatness" above, it's in comparison to their peers in the league.) Do I think TJD or Podz will be all-stars? Probably not, but, on a team like GS that already has all-stars, I think they can be more effective, impactful, solid role players than JK or Moody. Hope Kerr is willing to give them a fair chance, even as rookies.

  7. Damn i just thought warriors won a game 🙄🙄 livinf in Europe you dont know when they Are playing. Good analyzis but pls put this on your other channel.

  8. I suggest a content. Check how many disadvantaged games the GSW have against NUGGETS based on schedule. There's a time when Nuggets even requested a change of schedule when GSW was at an advantage. The change of schedule turned against GSW. And now this game is at the 7th straight AWAY games of the GSW. GSW has not won a game against Nuggets because of Jokic and his team… and the schedule.
