Dude is earning his NYer status. Love to see it.

I thought I would never say this but if RJ continues to improve, I can see an All-Star reserve selection in his future.

Everyone talking 3%, I wanna shout out that 85% from the line.

That FIBA off season really helped him stay ready for this season

what an incredible transformation. i’m more confident that he’ll make the shot when he shoots it now, but at the same time i’m still surprised he keeps on making them. like i’m just waiting for him to cool off, but he’s not

Players never get better after 4 years, right?

Changing offseason habits and injuries don’t really impact a player’s season like that, right?

Overpaid before the contract even started, right?

Trade him for a mild beef patty, no cheese, no coco bread and a grape Chubby, right?

Frank with better PR team, right?

Biggest thing about him to me is just his willingness to pull up behind the screen but also that he’s hitting it. That changes the ceiling.

i feel like we’ve been focused so much on rjs 3, rightfully so, but i dont think theres a facet of his game that isnt much more refined. hes making grown man finishes, hes taking his time working not just for a good shot, but a great shot, his decision making is quicker, hes playing well on defense, he seems quicker off the drive, hes drawing contact with ease and making the free throws. this is the rj we’ve seen pieces of over the past 4 years and even if the 3 ball is a mirage and it goes down to league average, this is exactly what youve wanted to see out of him

19% assist % and a 11.3 turnover %. His passing and decision making has improved and he’s taking much better shots than last year. Rj’s biggest problem was his decision making. It’s early but he’s made all the right reads so far. If he keeps that up I can see what he’s doing be sustainable. We will see, but I love what I’m seeing out of him. His process has been great.
