We’ll Matt Ryan in that last couple of minutes is looking really promising 👀

  2. UnimpressedAsshole

Matt “Public Relations” Ryan making sure the team doesn’t look controversially terrible

  3. Beneficial-Video-592

Year 3 of Willie and more of the same. It looks even worse than the season Garrett and Sato were starting. I can’t believe I’m saying that with a roster this talented.

  4. Biggum225

Matt Ryan Supernova in garbage time. Almost like he should be a major part of the offense until the rest of the core gets healthy.

  5. Impressive-Theory-27

Can’t wait for the people to blame this on BI when Zion had 2 Rebs and 6 turnovers

  6. Didn’t know we were tanking so early on, should’ve hired Byron Scott. Best tank commander

  7. Bigguy781

🤔🤔🤔I got downvoted for saying BI and Zion don’t fit together and Zion simply not being the player that he was in previous seasons. A shake up needs to happen because team might not even make the play in at this point

  8. SpaceAfricanJesus

Don’t be fooled, the game wasn’t that close.

Fun fact: this was the 2nd loss this season where we didn’t lose by 18 or more. Damn sure didn’t feel like it.

  9. RaspberryOld6983

Bro if Dyson Daniels is our best player when we have BI, Zion, and JV starting, we have problems. Shoutout to Dyson though, legitimately the only reason I kept watching.

  10. GatorEggs-

I’m going to bed very upset. Hope that’s what you wanted Willie and Dennis…..

  11. JRE looking like a decent pick up at least. Larry needs the Jaxson Hayes treatment at this point

  12. Impressive-Theory-27

I’m all for trading Zion, but what teams is gonna want him most of the good superstars are on teams that are locked in, unless you wanna try for JJJ

Edit: Thinking about it that would kinda solve the JV issue as it pairs him with a defensive monster who can make up for jv’s lack of athleticism (sorta similar to when hayes was starting with him)

Or trade for embiid but i think he’s happy in Philly so I doubt that will happen

  13. GreenVisorOfJustice

This team fucking SUCKS. And that’s led by Zion and Brandon. Like y’all asses fucking embarassing. Can’t dribble, can’t make teams worry about you. Can’t meaningfully facilitate. Can’t elevate your team.

Like, honestly, if we traded both their asses tomorrow, at least I could show up to these games not embarrassed, somehow.

  14. One-Purpose-5953

So hard to play in today’s NBA when your two stars don’t shoot 3’s

  15. One-Purpose-5953

Zion just has 3-5 sets of eyes on him (and they all know he’s gonna drive left) while 3 non shooters just stare at him stationary behind the 3pt line.

The line ups pels been putting out don’t exactly complement Zion

  16. One-Purpose-5953

Our two stars don’t defend, shoot 3’s or rebound. Makes winning basketball games preeeetty tough

  17. Sure_Ad8093

Feels like neither BI or Zion are #1 guys. They could be good #2 or #3 guys on better teams but as the “best” players on this team I’m starting to feel like it won’t work. Neither guy is a leader and their defense is poor. I’m more of the opinion that we should move BI or both but I think with a more proven star that can shoot the 3 we’d be better with that player and Zion rather than a player like that and BI. Imagine if we could trade BI(and someone else) for Paul George. Or even BI for Lavine. I know he’s not a good rebounder but he can shoot from deep and would help the spacing.

  18. NeilMcCauley1995

There’s no corrections to discuss. We’re FAR from that. There’s no tweaking this or tweaking that. Only thing that might help is if our whole roster magically turned into 15 different people that were better basketball players. Oh, and a different coach.

  19. obiwanjahbroni

I honestly hope the crowd starts booing Zion and BI

  20. ArrowGantOne

This Pelicans team feels like an elaborate plan by the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Edit: If you played a drinking game of doing a shot for every rebound Zion got, you’re good to drive.

  21. JosephStall

Willie Green might just be a bad coach. Why are they not running 2 man action with BI and Zion? Like why is the offense always a pick and roll with Jonas/Nance and BI? Why am I not seeing a BI Zion pick and roll 75% of offensive possessions? Why aren’t they putting just Zion and BI on one side of the floor and letting Zion post up and play off of that? Like this offensive scheme is absolute ass

  22. I don’t think I clapped in a cheering manner since they announced the veterans in the 2Q. This team sucks and the arena felt it. 5 straight losses, but how much worse can it get? 8? 10? Where do we go from here?

  23. JosephStall

When you turn the ball over 18 times, that’s on the coach. He obviously isn’t getting through to his guys. His first year there was a spark with this team but since then it’s been unmotivated play from his guys

  24. BaronsDad

[Zion: “Last year, we had a team meeting and we brought up some things I can do better, especially with buying into the program. Right now, it’s tough. I’m taking a little bit of a backseat right now. Im trusting the process. I’m trying my best to buy in right now.”](https://twitter.com/WillGuillory/status/1723903451661222003)

Is it concerning to anyone else that this is Zion Williamson’s fifth year as a professional basketball player, and he’s talking about buying into the 3rd year of Willie Green’s coaching?

  25. Julep2005

Zion and Bi need to shape up or be traded before they lose value sucking on our team. I just want a star in this team that’s as exciting as Z last year or BI two years ago. Feels like the only brightspots on this team aren’t our stars but our young players. So build around them instead.

  26. I’ve been pretty negative towards this team, but for some reason I’m looking for things to stay positive about. Our losses have come against the top 5 teams in the west and the 5th seed in the East. Unfortunately that’s all we face in the near future, but maybe if we can get past this slump and find some sort of health, we can get rolling.
