Team came off that horribly-scheduled road trip and straight into a back to back against giant teams.
Yet to have two days off between home games to build up some rest or really any opportunity to practise this season because they don’t really practise on tight road schedules.
Having said that… we have a game every other day for 6 straight games/12 days until FINALLY we get 3 days off before a road game to the Kings.
We’re not going to shoot sub 30% from 3 at home (which we’re currently doing) for the rest of the season – we were the best 3pt shooting team in the league last year, we’ll regress to the mean
unless Wiggins and Klay seriously revert their decline, this roster is not enough to contend. Even if Wiggins and Klay play like last year, we are still not a real contender but would be good enough to win 1 round of playoffs at least.
At this point, Im more concerned about the heavy load that Steph is carrying. Praying he doesnt get injured
the false optimism on this sub after the preseason and after us squeaking out some close wins early in the season is real reminiscent of the false belief that we were going to beat the lakers after barely getting by the Kings in 7 series last playoffs that required a historic Steph performance.
we have arguably the worst roster in the league outside of Steph, full of unathletic, small, one dimensional players who aren’t even good at that one dimension they are known for. This FO has done Steph a huge disservice in the last years of his prime.

Against certain teams, adjustments need to be made.
replace Steph with just a regular All-Star PG and what is our record so far?

Steph is absolutely amazing, i honestly did not expect him to be playing at this high of level this season.
Solution:
1. We need to run more PnR.
Let Steph be the ballhandler and playmaker..
2. Ofcourse give some minutes to TJD and Podz
3. Wiggins can get back to his 2022 form but let’s accept that Klay is washed now..
4. Let Saric play the 4 with true bigs like Looney and TJD. He cant play solely as 5. He’s stretch 4

The Loon-Dray combo is getting hard to be justified with the way Klay and Wiggs are playing. Whole team suffers cus of it. Dont get me wrong, I love Loon to the bone, but modern centers and bigs if contenders are 6’10 and above agile players with shooting.
It’s not perfect obviously and many would probably disagree, but I like the impact Kuminga brought out there in the 2nd qtr esp with Curry and Dray. He actually made a huge difference and a big contributor to our early lead in the first half. Still a lot to fix, but it’s getting there.
Kuminga-Saric-CP3 trio is better than our starters and it’s sad. Idk how we go from here. I hope Wiggs and Klay go back to their usual self, but i dont have much hope. I still think we should bank on Kuminga more than Wiggs in the starting lineup.
I think the ball swings a lot more when Podz and TJD are out there. Maybe that’s just a lack of sample size though, but even the second unit as is doesn’t have a ton of ball movement
I’ve always said the season hinges on Wiggins and Kuminga. Still does.
I can’t fathom him having a Biedrins-like mental collapse and bottoming out, but not sure what he needs to get right.
Dray and CP3 don’t work. Dray and Looney don’t work. Wiggins isn’t working with anybody.
I think you got to start either Kuminga or Saric in place of looney.
I’d drop moody from the rotation and give those minutes to Podz.
Wiggs and JK have horribly similar FG/3PT splits right now, lol. At least JK can hit FTs though.
