So we’re handing out contract extensions now just because the coach won a championship and helped developed a 2nd rounder into one of the biggest offensive juggernauts in NBA history?

Find yourself a girlfriend that believes in you, like the Nuggets believes in Malone.

    >one of the league’s highest paid coaches.

“Listen mike we can give you a lot but don’t fucking expect that monty williams money, they’re fuckin tripping over there in detroit”

At least the Lakers daddy won’t be abandoning them yet.

  5. panchettaz

“End it tonight! End it tonight!” he deserves the bag for that timeout alone

  6. KermitTheEdgelord

Even before winning the ring, him being one of the longest tenured coaches rn is kinda insane due to all the coach turnover in the league. Deserves a ton of credit for developing Jokic and taking his squad all the way, very well deserved

good for him. feels like it wasn’t that long ago that a lot of denver fans wanted him out. But he got the job done. Can’t be too mad at least since coaching salaries won’t impact the team cap

  8. Spo is in for an extension this year I believe. Wish they announced what they got paid

  9. TheResolute44

The Kings fired this guy midway through the season and apparently was the only coach that Boogie liked.

Where can I find the whole salary list of all coaches in NBA ?

I hope it all goes well, Bud got an extension too, see what happened to him

  12. costcobathroom

ah yes, he totally deserves it for coming up with the elite strategy “give the ball to jokic”

  13. Just a couple years ago a lot of folks wanted him fired

  14. For some reason I thought this was about to say he was fired and my jaw almost dropped.

    Good for Coach Malone.

He got a raw deal with the Kings, I’m very happy things worked out for him in Denver.

Solid coach, even nicer dude in person.

  16. Rombeingreasonable

Can’t wait to hear him talk about “the narrative” this year

    > who let the franchise to the 2023 NBA championship

Shocking new information from Woj here.

Crazy how he was on the hot seat just a few seasons ago.

I remember when a lot of fans were calling for his head the year Jamal and MPJ were out. Shit was insane, after how he lead us to the WCF people were ready to throw him out in a bad season where we were missing a max player and an about-to-be max player.

Glad he shut them all up and happy he’s getting paid for taking the team to the mountin top.

Only 4 coaches coaching the same team since 2020: Pop, Kerr, Spoelstra, and Malone. Doesn’t look like anything is changing with that for a while.

I thought he was very close to being fired once they were down 3-1 to the jazz in the bubble. Really impressive what he’s done and well deserved
