  1. I love Josh Hart but he did not deserve 43 fucking minutes.

we played hard, but shat the bed in the 4th

  2. asapfetty

Not one to blame the refs, but it was a back and forth game until the refs took our momentum away in the 3rd. I don’t care how they call it but they got to call it the same on both ends.

Fought without our leading scorer tonight. Nothing to be ashamed about

    On to the next one

  3. JonnySports

Ah well, onto the next one. Hopefully RJ is good to go.

  4. Friendship with “Fuck Trae Young” is over.

“FUCK KP” is my new best friend.

  5. teknomatic

Not much you can do when Tatum decides to stop missing. All things considered, we competed well with a contender for most of the game.

I’ll take 5-5 after the first 10 considering the start we had

  6. Agamemnon08

Why did Grimes play only 28 minutes with no RJ? Needed his shooting tonight

  7. confuddly

Grimes hits 4 3s in a row. Gets benched for Josh Hart in the 4th quarter, which killed all our offense and spacing.

You can argue Hart is the best defender on Tatum, except Tatum went nuclear anyways. So why not play Grimes over Hart??? Literally idiotic by Thibs

  8. KINGY-221

Missing a 20ppg player so can’t really complain too much but the way they just collapse does my head in.

  9. We gave up at the end. It is what it is. Start the fuck trae young chant on wed

  10. bibfortuna16

only watched the 4th. damn, Hart made like 3 or 4 consecutive mistakes and that was the ball game 🫠

  11. Randle was brutal in the second half. Hart is a problem on the court with that second unit because of the spacing issue without RJ.

Tough loss, Celtics are the Vegas favorite. Shit happens.

If Randle can just speed up his process and turn down the “point forward” attitude he’ll eliminate a lot of his issues

  12. dtc_brock

For those who missed the game:

It was a close game and we played them well without our best player this season in RJ.

But like halfway through the 4th, Tatum said to himself: “Wait a minute, none of these guys can guard me.” And that was that.

  13. will122589

Can’t be super mad at a loss on the second half of a B2B missing our second best player.

The 3rd quarter where the refs swallowed their whistles on one side ended any chance we had at this game. The challenge working where Randle was fucking raked over the arm and because of that it was off him out of bounds was a five point swing we couldnt recover from.

Move on, win Wednesday and forget about this entirely

  14. Ok_Woodpecker1732

We needed RJ but let’s be honest, if the Celtics make timely threes like that we probably still lose. IQ needed a big game tonight and he just didn’t answer. It happens. Onto ATL.

  15. Fuck Boston.calling it now, they gonna be a regular season team.

probably not, but still Fuck ‘Em and the entire New England area

  16. beanie_mac

Tough loss vs. a top team on the end of a b2b. Made some costly mistakes, but Tatum just went nuclear.

Good offensive games from Brunson, Hart, and Grimes tho.

5-5 after the toughest schedule in the league isn’t bad. Bounce back on Wednesday.

    Sky isn’t falling lol.

  17. WhatIsGoingOnHere_2

Everyone here is going to make a big stink about what they did and we didn’t. Blah blah Jules lack of efficiency. Here’s the facts we had no RJ, our bench underperformed, and Jason Tatum went god mode in the 4th. Thats it, suck it up and on to the next game.

  18. Don’t forgot the Knicks have had the hardest schedule in the league.

We were 5th in the league in SRS which is a catch all metric that accounts for strength of schedule. We’re still a top 10 team in the league. The win streaks will come. No reason to panic. Record this early is less important than performance. And they’ve been solid

  19. Tears_of_Opa_Opa

Here’s a Hot Take for you…..Brunson nor Randle are Number 1 options

  20. rmccarthy10

    We need a superstar.

Watching a guy like Tatum just get into a zone and do whatever he wants, hit every shot, drive, dunk, stick threes,… It just makes you realize every team needs one of these guys.

The New York Knicks are a nice team. They probably going to make the playoffs. They’re going to be a tough out. They just don’t have that killer. Julius Randle ain’t it and either is RJ.

  21. DuckDucks

Quickley didn’t have it at all tonight. To be fair, that’s become a lot rarer. Just hurts more when it happens.

  22. Pinheadlarry29

This game was lost when our coach decided to run an 8 man rotation on the second night of a back to back. Ran out of gas in the 4th.

  23. Can’t win them all but this game was still annoying to lose. RJ Barrett’s been our most consistent if not best player this season.

Brunson had a okay game. Need to see him get the offense going, he isn’t making enough impact.

Randle’s stats make him look better than he actually played. You won’t fool me. Bro plays no defense and has worse handles than Jaylen Brown, it’s pathetic.

  24. IQ picked a hell of a time to have one of his worst games

  25. badquarter

Knicks didn’t have a lot of turnovers but the turnovers committed in the second half felt like they killed any momentum. A couple of 4min+ stretches with no field goals.

    Boston played great team defense.

Not mad at the loss since they kept up most of the game without RJ on the second night of a back to back. Maybe they just got winded, maybe they just don’t have an answer for Tatum.

  26. gods_green_earth_

Game was close one we could’ve won without having RJ. Definitely sucks losing to Boston. LGK!

  27. Ok_Woodpecker1732

I agree with most people, Grimes needed more minutes in the 4th.

  28. Living_Internet_2970

    Sigh

Let’s just move on quickly to ATL

  29. Monica is such great analyst.

One thing we always got over Boston is quality unbiased commentary.

  30. 3rd b2b in first 10 games… thanks Monica for reminding us how screwed we are to start the season

That just helps because things will get easier.

    Fuck these schedulers

  31. smileyfrown

You gotta blame thibs rotations on the game.

We were up on the first half thanks to Julius hitting his threes but that’s largely unsustainable and Brunson being great.

But the second half the size issue, the over reliance on Hart, Randle regressing, plus defensive issues just killed us.

Like IQ is our 4th best player why is he playing less time than Grimes and Hart? He’s been fantastic this year playing with the 2nd unit playing in a flow, this game he could never get going because of the rotations we had.

Even if you bring back RJ in a 7 game series you would need sustained great games from your big , I do wonder if you need more size or just another defender to win.

  32. Swankyyyy

Why is everyone saying Hart did bad? I only watched the 1st quarter so maybe i’m missing some context but 16 points, 50% from three, and 9 rebounds is really everything you hope to get out of Josh.
