He is an athletic big with the ideal skillset to fit the game of the modern league, but only time will tell us if he can reach his true potential that will justify the Utah Jazz selecting him at number 9 overall in the 2023 NBA draft.

  1. It's always interesting to hear your well thought out player anaylsis and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Jazz will integrate Hendricks. Congrats on 700!

  2. Ima go to the g league game tonight, I’ll see him in person to see if he’s Ight 😅

  3. With Olynyk in the final season of his current contract, I hope Hendricks sees minutes when Olynyk is either traded or his contract expires. Im happy with Hendricks getting significant minutes in the G-League now then possible nba minutes later this season, so a similar introduction to the NBA as Ochai Agbaji

  4. I must say i havent seen Hendricks playing more than those couple minutes. But i do belive your take on him. And i do agree that jazz dont need more bigs atm. However its long season and injuries will happening, Hendricks may find minutes when those games comes. That would be best way give him some meaninfull playing times without taking better players minutes away from them.

However, right now focus must be in fix guard issues before doing any other changes. Jazz has been so bad in some games that they cant afford to be that bad night after night. Losing is not why i say this, in sport team sometimes win, sometimes lose. And when team lose, it happens and everyone understand that. But they must look like they belong in this league and keep competing like professionals.

  5. Good analysis! I'm a huge believer in Hendricks, I think he's one of those projects that takes 2-5 years to really break into his playstyle. He's got some abilities you just have to have to win in the playoffs so personally getting him at 9 was a great decision.
