[Milwaukee Bucks] Giannis Antetokounmpo Postgame Press Conference | 11.13.23 : “I believe in what we can do as a team”, Ajax propaganda, losing Jae and how Ajax and Marjon will get even more opportunities, slow starts, Bobby, slowly getting better and that nobody should panic “yet”.

Also, Giannis goes full us about Ajax and Marjon at the [10:54](https://youtu.be/UIZt6YLd3_w?si=zSJWZq6WzFym3ZSc&t=654) mark:
    – How Flatass and Larry Sanders gave him “positive affirmation” and he is trying to do the same because it was very important to him
    – How Ajax and Marjon can’t lose:
    1. They work extremely hard, even when nobody is looking
    2. When they get the opportunity, they play extremely hard
    3. They are extremely coachable
    4. “It’s a matter of time for them to blossom into the players they want to be.”
    5. They sacrifice for the team to win, like many on the roster

    On AG:
    – He was asked about AG’s press conference and how he said “there’s a dark cloud over the team”, “there’s juggling more than people know”, how there were some in the lockeroom that expected to “win by 20pts”.
    – He was also asked if the vets can help AG with the situation.

He went on to say that the “political correct answer” would be “he is the coach, and we are the players” (very much his stance during the Bud era), and how this is more of a partnership with the players. How AG’s “open door policy” is helping the team, and how it’s much different than coaching against a team and seeing everyone’s strengths and weaknesses first hand.

I like Giannis’s recent mentality about team growth and success

I’d love to see us blowing out teams, but every year that we looked like world beaters in the regular season led to huge disappointments in the playoffs. Right now we have a winning record in spite of looking very bad on both ends of the court. Dame has looked bad, Brook has looked bad, Giannis had some rust to shake off. Khris and Bobby have been good, the young guys are bringing great energy, and I love what Cam and Jae have brought to the team. I also think the bench vibes have been good – AJJ and Thanasis are so positive.

Bottom line is that there are areas in which this team has *tons* of room to improve. Right now we’re seeing Giannis basically carry them to wins, but you’ve gotta think that Khris’s health, Dame’s integration and AG’s growth will lead to significant overall improvement as the season goes on
