It’s night 2 of the in season tournament for the Utah Jazz after their win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Utah Jazz are 1-0 in group play and play the Portland Trailblazers who are also 1-0 in group play. The new Purple court and purple uniforms will be out today. David Locke, radio voice of the Utah Jazz and Jazz NBA insider, thinks this is exactly why the in-season tournament is a great idea.
The Jazz are having pick and roll issues. They run the most infrequent pick and roll and face the pick and roll the least but it is still a major part of the game and the Jazz need to get the pick and roll figured out. Keyonte George is a more natural pick and roll player than the other guard on the roster and he is beginning to get a feel for Lauri Markkanen whereas John Collins and Jordan Clarkson are beginning to have a combination.
Late Game Watch looks at the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns.

When you werenāt on after the game and yesterday, I thought maybe you quit. I kept checking the news.
Everyone knows that draft picks are good for rebuilding, salary and trade leverage, but they take time to develop, and the process is 50/50 and not guranteed. I'm staying patient!….It took Denver how many years to develop into what they have now? A long time! So, if Utah is looking for ring/banner anytime soon they can't depend on the draft entirely. Alot of rumor buzz happening around the league from L.A. to Miami with regards to Caruso. So, take note. He's worth a pair of 1st rd picks(team has several)….crazy, maybe, but worth it for a piece of proven/consistent talent.
They should have kept Mike Conley……They needed someone to teach their future point guards how to be good……The Jazz should get John Stockton to work with their point guards. They should use the GOAT.
Iām glad theyāre giving Keyante time on the floor. Heās the best, most natural ball handler on the team and as he develops heās really going to enable the rest of the team. Heās already getting a very respectable number of assists.
If I have to watch Laurie get the ball at the top of the three-point line rather than on the block when a 6'4 guard is his main defender, I'm going to lose my mind. If someone like Marcus Smart is guarding him, stop the offense, put him on the block, and give him the ball.

20:17 I don't remember Keyonte G. And John Collins having as much playing time together on the court, so that might explain their slight lack of chemistry and Keyonte didn't get much time with the starters to begin the season in my recollection.

My God do I have to be the one that says this, of course I do. I love your Locked on Jazz show, but there are way too many commercials it gets so annoying. Not only are there ads that you personally bring up on your show but then there are immediate forced ads afterwards it like your shows only 7-10mins of actual Jazz talk sometimes and then the rest is just a big list of your advertising. It's annoying but I'll keep watching I guess. š

I don't like the purple court. It makes it hard to watch the game…I'm not a fan of the goofy torunament courts around the league.
Gotta send love to Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley 6 straight wins (including over healthy Boston, Denver and GS), #1 defense in the league. Utah however I believe is approaching 100 straight games of opponents scoring over 100. The Timberwolves have bought in. Rudyās Utah teams never had both length/athleticism and shootingā¦ Minnesota has that. Exciting to watch on the side to Utahās rebuild. Fun to watch the SLC stars as well. Canāt even spell the dudes name but sensebaugh seems like such a natural scorer though a bit loose with the ballā¦ and Hendricks so athletic with such a good release on the three point shot, such an interesting investment.
Crazy that Lauri gets off catch and shoot threes with defenders all up in his grill. Crazy high release. Also love how well Collins is shooting the corner three.
