ESPN NBA Analyst: 76ers Don’t Need BLOCKBUSTER Trade After HOT Start | 76ers Trade Rumors & News

Philadelphia 76ers trade rumors continue to heat up with the Sixers hot start to the 2023-24 NBA season. However, one ESPN NBA analyst isn’t buying the Sixers trade rumors. NBA analyst JJ Redick does not believe the Sixers should make a Zach LaVine trade or Pascal Siakam trade, and instead look to round out the 76ers roster with an Alex Caruso trade or OG Anunoby trade. With an 8-1 start to the Sixers schedule, should the team look to make a blockbuster NBA trade, or round out the roster with other NBA trade rumors? Do the 76ers need to make a trade at all? @chatsports host Chase Senior has you covered with all these 76ers news & rumors, plus the latest 76ers injury news, which includes Joel Embiid injury news and Nicolas Batum injury news, ahead of the 76ers vs. Pacers and 76ers vs. Celtics games.

NBA Analyst JJ Redick on the Philadelphia 76ers trade rumors:
“The interesting part about this hypothetical is the difference between out-of-season versus in-season. As it relates to my query, Caruso and OG, I think the awkwardness in that offensive hierarchy, it doesn’t happen. They are plug and play. They are immediately sort of additive on the defensive end and the offensive end”

“Where I think, in-season, and we’ve seen this … I think the in-season trade, the in-season home run swing for the star player, it doesn’t always work. In fact, it rarely works because it’s hard in a six-week, eight-week span as you prepare for the playoffs to figure all of that out”

  1. 3 and D role player, perhaps, or a backup point guard would be helpful. No need for another star until the off-season. The team chemistry right now is excellent. Don’t spoil it!

  2. whether it's an all-star or more of a role player, they need someone who can create off the dribble. it's a long season and it's going to be rough sending maxey through double screens 40 minutes a night and hope to win a championship. they'll need the extra bench scoring as well. i'd see what's up with sexton in utah.

  3. With the addition of the wing players we acquired in the System Trade. We can go toe to toe with C's. I agree. One or two more pieces; primarily another ball handler, because Melton aint it.

  4. I think the sixers need role players around maxey and the big night mare embeid big three won't solve solution to many stars

  5. I think for a tradecto work you need a great coach, I think the 6ers should stay pack, I can see looking for someone who can rebound

  6. I just highly doubt we getting OG 🤷🏽‍♂️. If we can get Caruso and Bogdonovic that would be an amazing deadline to me. Not fond of the Lavine trade at all tho. Regardless we need to make a move to win a champion. Another tough reality is Oubre is gona have to move to the bench to quell the second unit scoring issue.

  7. Could Mikal Bridges be another trade target? His contract is about $20-$25 million per year for the next 3 years, but provides good defense and a higher scoring average per game than OG.

  8. They need to just add a 3 and D guy. Someone to help further spread the floor. Someone who can play minutes without the starters and put up some points.
We really would benefit from a bench guy who can put up 12-15 points a game. We have been killed the last few years from a shitty bench
