Aside from Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren might be the craziest defensive athlete I’ve ever seen. However, comparing their NBA ceilings could be tricky.
The OKC Thunder already have a superstar in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a lot of emerging young talent in Josh Giddey, Jalen Williams, Lu Dort, and Cason Wallace. The Thunder are primed to make the playoffs this season while Wembanyama and the Spurs are looking to play the long game as a rebuilding team. But can Holmgren take the OKC Thunder to the next level of championship contention? The Thunder’s rebuild might not be over but with all their draft picks, they can accelerate their timeline.
