[Pompey] Sources have said the Sixers are pleased with their early play and newfound depth, and likely will wait until later in the season to explore trade opportunities when needs will be more evident or to shore the team up in event of an injury.

Ain’t no way the rest of that tweet was fitting in the title so picked the most relevant part to share re: Lavine lol

  2. 13Petrichor

Anybody trying to bait us into overpaying for Lavine is a foe.

Also what a fucking tweet lmao

  3. IEatDeFish

This bro put an entire college essay into a tweet lol

Aiite who from the FO has been given Pompey’s twitter account password? This shit is way too coherent and well constructed grammatically.

thank god. im praying that we dont do something stupid and go for a lavine type player

  6. hasordealsw1thclams

We can’t even really make a trade until later regardless.

This makes me happy as a fan. I’d like to see where these guys go cuz i love the feeling of the team and the personalities on it and everything which makes it much more fun to watch

I love the dudes on our squad and could only be okay shipping Bamba, RoCo, Batum, House Jr, Morris, and maybe Furkan but I honestly doubt the market value for any combination of those players is worth much of an upgrade.

An injury like, oh for instance, your star 6th man getting slammed by a car in Center City?

I say we trade half a 3 day old cheese steak for Al Horford. Then we send him to the G league.

A guy to handle the ball when Maxey hits the bench IS a need. Maxey 40 minutes a game is not viable for 82 games. Brogdon or Smart would be able to play next to him and let him get a few more min on the bench

  13. Knight725

this would be the correct move, so i hope they do it.

lavine is such a bad choice, probably the worst choice of all available options. another high usage ball dominant guard that can’t play defense. exactly what the sixers don’t need and what getting rid of made them look a million times better.

    Confirmed: Lavine to Philly

Not a fucking chance Pompey wrote this. And not a fucking chance this isn’t propaganda to feign a lack of interest. I actually laughed out loud at just how obvious this is.

I think the things that Daryl Morey is looking for in a trade target are becoming clear. I think we can rule out most players making more than 30 million per year or set to hit free agency and get a bag similar to that. They are looking for someone that has years left on a good contract to surround our two franchise players

They are looking for a two way player that provides either playmaking or 3 pt shooting.

We can pretty much rule out the normal names people are tossing about like Pascal, OG, and Lavine. Look for for targets like Markkanen, Smart, Brogdan, Ingram, Bridges, Hart, Giddey, Murray, and Bane. That or look for them to add a top tier role player that’s signed for multiple years like Caruso.

Morey’s comments about using that boatload of assets to get a player similar to Jrue Holiday makes sense in the context they are looking more a good (or great) contract with that level of skill.

I think this means we aren’t interested in anybody on the Bulls.

Bojan Bogdanovic and/or Alec Burks. They might just be exactly what we need right now.

I do think we need another ball handler but outside of that, I’ve been very happy with the team. I can’t believe I’m saying this, Kelly will be missed while he heals up.
