Why would he get one? I know teams sometimes give them out to players they traded that season but Bones clearly wanted out of Denver and didn’t want to be apart of the team on their path to the ring so why would he get one?

Good. Why should Bones get one?

He wanted out of Denver so he absolutely shouldn’t get a ring. Now if he wanted to stay and got traded, I would’ve had a different opinion but that simply wasn’t the case

Sorry Bones but you aint no champ

Am also a Raptors fan. Raptors traded JV and Delon Weight at the trade deadline to get Marc Gasol, and then won a chip. Neither of them got a ring, which I thought was a bit silly. Since Bones wanted out, I think it’s pretty fair to not give him a ring

Thought it was funny he was a DNP last night. What a falloff this guy had.
It’s always been up to the team whether to give a him a ring or not. I honestly don’t think Bones deserves one after the drama he was a part of and given how little time he spent here, it’s not a tough debate imo.

You only get a ring if you’re a champion, Bones is not a champion, so no ring..

Jesus fuck, again? This has been posted multiple times already. He wasn’t even good here. Why do you guys obsessed over him so much?

I know it’s a bit controversial as it involves Bones. However, in a vacuum, I firmly believe that a player who has contributed to wins and helped the team secure the number one seed in their conference deserves a ring.

He definitely doesn’t deserve one. Imagine the animosity that would cause internally with the players who are still on this team

I some twitter “outrage” over this. It’s odd. I know the rules with the Stanley Cup are different. For example there was never any question over whether Tyson Jost would get a ring (who had been on the team for several years and was traded mid season the season they won the Cup). He wasn’t eligible. It’s Bones supposed “eligibility” that is making this an impetus for all this twitter rage. The NBA should frankly change the rules.

Teams have the choice of who to offer rings to, and players can turn them down.
Torrey Craig played for the Bucks and Suns the same season, and turned down a ring from the Bucks because he’d played against them in the finals and it didn’t sit right with him to get a ring from his finals opponent.
Players who get traded mid-season but the team retained a good relationship with them, like Davon Reed, are typically offered rings. Bones threw a tantrum and asked for a trade, so he’s the rare one who played but wouldn’t get offered a ring.

I enjoyed watching him play the 22-23 season, and was really hyped that he was an all-rookie, it’s sad that he couldn’t buy in and things ended how they did. But in the end, he wanted out, so it would be really hypocritic to want a ring after all that

Of course he doesn’t get a ring!! Wasn’t on the squad for most of the season, AND HE ASKED OUT
trevstan1
thats piss poor
played 42 games avg 12 2 and 3 in 19.5 minutes a game,
that is a contribution worthy of a ring

Great decision. You ask out from a championship contender you’re in it for the wrong reasons.
