[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: The NBA is looking further into the Warriors-Timberwolves scuffle, including Draymond Green headlock on Rudy Gobert. Warriors play OKC on Thursday, so review on Green’s part — including video and interviews — expected to be completed for a ruling prior to that game.

    >including Draymond Green headlock on Rudy Gobert.

Draymond will obviously get a multi-game suspension, but it’d be weird if Klay or McDaniels got anything further.

  2. retiredbigbro

Dray: hell yeah plz suspend me until Steph comes back

  3. ColdCocking

He’ll probably get 5 games, similar to BI’s haymaker punch. I think he deserves 10 though just based on prior history.

  4. “Based on Draymond’s history, the NBA has decided to suspend him for the first 3 minutes of the OKC game.”

  5. hellofloss

I’m guessing 2 games suspension and people are gonna be very disappointed

  6. ADAM SILVER, YOU COWARD, PUBLISH THE FULL GOBERT INTERVIEW!

I want 30 minutes of him calling Draymond a clown.

  7. PusseySleigher

Ruling expected before Thursday? Well then Draymond’s response documentary will come earlier then /s

I can’t stand this dude and the whole Warriors pearl-clutching culture hidden behind Steph’s greatness.

Draymond has to do five counseling sessions with Josh Primo.

Nah man. According to Steve Kerr, Rudy’s hands were on Klay’s neck.

    LMAO

  11. Adam Silver about to bring the hammer down. Draymond is looking at a serious two game suspension.

And here I am mostly still pissed that CP3 got away scot-free after that bullshit diving into Conleys legs, that shit was blatant.

I saw this man stomp on someone’s chest in real time. I don’t have faith the league will do much.

Should easily be suspended for 25 games. Repeat offender who has a tendency to make dirty plays and take situations tot he next level. The NBA needs to make an example out of him in the same way they did Ja Morant. Holding a guy in a headlock for 10+ seconds when the altercation had already been resolved is dangerous. Rudy Gobert could of legitimacy been hurt as a result of the situation, and that is not something to be taken lightly.

Sprewell was suspended a whole season, i think, for choking his coach.

Draymond will continue to do shit like this until he’s actually suspended. One of these days his antics are going to seriously injure another player. And at that point Silver and the NBA will be culpable.

NBA is gonna look real dumb if they have their head of officiating saying “taunting can lead to spillover” and then do nothing about the Draymond situation. Dray was taunting the Wolves saying “What are you going to do about it” in the last game, then tries to choke someone out 2 minutes into the next game? Feels like spillover to me. Let’s see if the League is going to be consistent.

I hope the Thunder beat the shit out of that team.

  19. pepperguy22

They should stop calling it a headlock. It was a chokehold. Fucker thinks he’s a fighter

As a Thunder fan, I want to say I hope Draymond is suspended for at least the next two games (both against the Thunder).

Not because I want the Warriors to be short-handed or anything, but because we’ve got a good thing going here and I don’t want any of our players seriously injured.

I really wish Gobert took the hit for the team and committed to the best flop in NBA history. Stayed on the ground and demanded a neck brace and a stretcher to go to the hospital saying he heard a pop. He could be diagnosed with a pinched nerve and sit for a game and be back, but Dray would be kicked out of the league.

Seriously, this was a bannable offense if it had actually caused harm. We’re only not in that timeline because Gobert luckily didn’t get hurt.
