  1. Troy Weaver have been pimping us for years now you go out and get Monty Williams 13 million so you could buy some more time He's seeing right now that is nothing he could do with this lousy roster you get all these big men that can't play from jahlil okafor down to everybody he signed he don't know what he's doing please get this guy out of here I'm glad you finally is looking at Troy Weaver this is the whole problem I see young teens with no name ball players better than the ones Troy Weaver is picking

  2. Thanks for this commentary cuz you guys are just been sitting up laughing at knowledgeable fans cuz we know that this is not going to work at least you are holding Troy Weaver a little bit accountable this whole roster he's put together he doesn't know what he's doing please get this guy out of here what is Joe Harris is on this team for nobody wanted monta Morris Marvin Bagley bad signing Jalen Durham is just a little above average not that great of a ball player very low IQ basketball team this is the worst team in basketball once again and you give this coach 13 million how dumb can you be Troy Weaver please leave

  3. Weaver’s biggest issue his ego. He made some bad moves but he’s also made some good ones. Drafting Cade (when then there was real conversation that Jalen Green should be the #1 overall pick), drafting Ivey + Duren, drafting Ausar and swinging trades to bring in Jerami Grant and later Bogy for little to nothing. Considering what little assets he came in to work with, these were very sound decisions. Having said that, his mistakes have costed this franchise immensely. He held onto Jerami Grant for way too long rather than trade him when his value was at its peak. And while I know we eventually turned that into Jalen Duren, it also costed us a future first rounder to New York. And considering how terrible the Pistons are right now with no real end to the losing in sight, losing that pick could end up being catastrophic. Now let’s talk about the 2020 draft. He absolutely bombed it. Killian, Stew and Bey. Bey is no longer with the team and he was traded for the corpse of James Wiseman. This is where Weaver’s ego comes into play. Killian, despite long proving to be at best a mediocre NBA player, has continued to get run as a starter for reasons only known to the Pistons. Isaiah Stewart, who still had a year left on his rookie deal, gets a 4 year extension in spite of this team still having so many holes left to fill. And while I credit Stew for his improvements on his 3P shot, he is NOT an NBA caliber starting 4. He’s simply too limited offensively and should be weaponized off the bench as a small ball 5. But Weaver’s inability to accept that he bombed his first draft has lead to him to doubling down on Stew and hoping the he turns into KAT offensively overnight. Then he holds onto Bogey for far too long and now who knows what we’d even get for him? His peak was at last year’s deadline when he was having a career year to that point. Now he’s a year older injuries have to be a major concern given he turns 35 before season’s end. So overall Weaver’s done more bad than good and he needs to be on the hot seat.

  4. I ain't trippin off of 7 games. Ima wait to see how perform up onto all star break. So far even with the losses I see a lot of progress. When duren becomes more dominant in that paint and more of a threat offensively things will get easier for the guards.

  5. I'm so sick of you guys giving these people a passing grade for playing hard you a NBA player getting paid good money everybody plays hard it's about playing smart and having talent

  6. Team they have on the Floor is basically a team full of 1st 2nd or 3rd year players who haven't really playedore than a season together. Growing Pains is expected. Its all about development and evaluation of Talent.

  7. Welp….. heres to another season of being the worst team in the league and only getting another 5th pick

  8. Bro I’m 35 grew up in Pontiac from the Silver Dome to the Palace I remember all the games and era’s. We know when this franchise is tryna bs us and when they’re actually tryna win.

I blame Gores for giving Weaver a mess to try and fix. Gores signed off on Blake coming here and proceeded to hold him and Dre until we could get absolutely nothing for them. We should’ve never brought in Blake, Gores should’ve fired SVG and hired a competent front office to rebuild the right way with atleast some assets. I give Weaver credit for what he’s done with the Cap and drafting some good talent. I wonder how much autonomy Weaver actually has under Arn Tellem and Ed? Casey wasn’t Weavers coach and Monty wasn’t on Weavers lists of coaches. That move for Monty seemed to have come out of nowhere and over Weavers head.

I believe there’s friction on the bench surrounding some players (Ivey) as far as role and minutes, I also believe there’s some friction in the front office. Weaver hired Rob Murphy and although the situation wasn’t Weavers fault and the Pistons did a good job of keeping it quiet the scandal happen on his watch.

I like Weaver and I’m almost 100% certain that when Weaver drafted Ivey he did not envision him in the role he’s in now. I think Weaver was done with Hayes but Monty seems to really like him. Idk if they’re trying to build Hayes stock for a trade or if he’s now viewed as a integral piece in what Monty wants to do. Either way there seems to be a disconnect in what’s going on and I hope they get it figured out soon instead of trying to pull wool over the fans eyes.

Deep down I don’t feel like Gores, Arn or Ed are basketball guy’s. They might’ve played at some point in time in life but they’re money guys not basketball guys and that’s the biggest issue!

  9. Monty doesn’t allow Ivey to play the OKC Harden role. Harden closed close games and got starter minutes and he was never a great defender. I don’t think Monty believes in Ivey, Ivey isn’t his type of player.

We need to bring Grant back ASAP!!

  10. I just don’t understand anyone questioning the GM. I like the picks. I like some of the trades. Just sucks that the team isn’t healthy. But I prefer this process over the win now attitude that got us in such a hopeless state with Joe Dumars and SVG.

  11. Great video, in my opinion Detroit Pistons got to find a way to pull off a trade for a elite power forward all is well Jaden ivy is going to be fine if not trade him for that power forward

  12. I still have faith in these team you must consider this squad is now playing together for the first time My good is seeing a team that competes no matter the score the bad is turn overs and consistency Troy has a vision sometime it’ can get blurry but don’t loose sight of your plan Our piston will get it together.

  13. Not to throw shade at kids like Ku, but those kids are 2K GMs. This is how you pod about our Pistons.

  14. Need a 2nd volume guy on offense. Force ausar to be more aggressive or start ivey. Can't have a lineup with only 1 guy doing anything on offense for majority of game

  15. Not playing Ivey is a big mistake they are screwing with the kid instead of letting him grow don't let this happen.

  16. Hige Tom Gores fan. My time with the Pistons goes all the way back to the dick Vitale era, before Trader Jack came in as GM, before Isiah Thomas, before the Bad Boys. It ain't easy. All I asked for this season is improvement. I'm waiting. Damn, this looks bad.

  17. I just wish they would play Ivery more. He doesn’t need to start. When the vets come back we should be ok. It’s just frustrating watching our current line up not playing well. It’s frustrating as a fan. – Great video, love the honesty!!

  18. I don't think Troy is the problem to me this is a player problem. To me he made the right pics beside Killian and Sadiq. But remember if we didn't get Killian and got Haliburton we would not have got cade and we probably wouldn't have duren ivey or ausar Thompson. Injuries have plagued this team since jump and their young. This team needs more time to improve and get healthy and I say we give it to them.

  19. Remember that going to work pistons team wasnt built in the draft, but bad boys were which is why this team will go through problems like the bad boys did, but once there ready our culture will be more longstanding

  20. Im about off on Cade, too many TURNOVERS, he don't want to pass the ball TO OPEN TEAMATES! Play him off the ball MORE!!!!

  21. Maybe Monty Williams isn’t the savior everyone thought he was gonna be?! And for Troy all I’ve been told from day 1 is oh just wait he’s a genius! Just wait & see how great things will be!…. Ok so?? …How long do u want me to wait?! Year after year of watching the Pistons lose while other teams build playoff teams? Cmon man….& Morris & Bogey out b4 the first game? Damn…& the situation with Ivey & Killian..if I was Ivey I’d b asking to be traded at this point! It’s become just so tiring every year to hear all the hype then right back in the gutter..Don’t tell me anymore how awesome Troy is, how many chances do u get?!

  22. This is the never ending rebuild. Excuses. Excuses. Excuses. Tom Gores loves Troy Weaver. Troy Wesver will never get fired .

  23. There is a possible reason Ivey is “out sick”. I’m anticipating a mega trade forthcoming. Help is on its way Kool-aid. No worries.

  24. I cannot assess Troy Weaver until the end of the season. He has a franchise player which is far more than what this team has had since its championship era. Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren have only added to it along with Monty Williams. Being successful as an executive isn’t about being perfect but being able to pivot when needed and still executing the vision.

  25. I'm relatively new to your videos but I've seen enough to get at least a sense of your view, I think. This video was easily the best I've seen and I appreciate the honesty. That being said, I have some thoughts. I'm happy with what Troy has done, I trust in his process when it comes to the draft/trades. I'm not a fan of the Monty hire, I didn't like him in Phoenix, and I've been unimpressed with him here. I'll be patient though and give him a chance to prove himself. I thought with Killian as a starter the plan was to showcase him for a higher trade value/ get his confidence up and see what he's capable of. Then I watch these games and he's not running point the whole time, tells me he actually thinks Killian is the better option. That just doesn't add up, Ivey comes in and provides offense and energy that the team is missing with the starters. Cade should not be running the point more than 5 maybe 10 minutes a game, especially with this lineup. I think Ivey should start, give him and Cade equal opportunity to run the point and see how it gels, or just make Ivey the point from the start. We'll see how it shapes out but my biggest concern is the way that Monty is managing this team. I realize we're not going to be competing for a championship right now but we need to see some progress. Cade is back and they're still losing.

  26. Oh my God!!! Thank you for the video!! The best so far about the pistons! Since my earlier days with 8 years old here in Brazil I’ve a Detroit Pistons fan! You spoke facts!!! Big love for you! Lets go Brazil Detroit Pistons

  27. Stop with the Cade is a star crap. He plays like a ball hog. We got the number one pick in the wrong year, period. I'd trade him for a proven NBA player in a heartbeat.

  28. Not related to this vid, but why is Casey around if coach is trying to change the culture, when Casey was the one who set the culture. Isn’t that working at cross purposes?

  29. Our lineup. Should be 1. Ivey (Not Killian) , 2. Cade 3. Ausar 4. Beef Stew or Bojan when he comes back if you want to substitute Defence for Offence 5. Duren

  30. Good: young dudes Bad: continued injury issues(need Arnie Kander back) lack of a defensive C and Defensive vets in general.

  31. Is Ivey sick of illness or sick of Monty? I haven’t seen a player miss 3 straight games due to illness in a long time. Do you have the scoop, Brandon?

  32. Aye I get the Big Dawg ain’t in but you better Drumroll yourself in next time gang.! You deserve it too.!😂💪🏽 AYYYYYYOOOO 🥁

  33. There is no doubt, if there was a re-draft Scottie Barnes and Shaedon Sharpe would be Pistons instead of Cade and Ivey.

I’m really not sure what Cade’s specialty is at this point. Every aspect about his game appears average. Ivey’s attitude is typical of a lot of this generation – mentally he’s soft.

For the record, tanking isn’t an option this year because the last thing the Pistons need is another unprepared 18 or 19 year-old. Fortunately, Ausar and Sasser were mature players when drafted. Sasser had 4 years of college, while Thompson had lots of specialized training to enhance his gifted physical attributes,

  34. Their vets are out. What mind boggles me is that why are these players are out early early like are they taking care of their bodies no more? Likely not nowadays because they are playing video games 🎮.

  35. The issue is the line up, IVEY should not have been coming off the bench, and should be getting more than 19mpg, Killian should not be getting 39-41mpg he not that good, we have way to many guards. And we didn't go after anyone with defense in off season, all we did was add to many players to the the back court, and Umude should not be in G league, he need to be on our roster, he to good of a shooter.

  36. Maybe it's time to think about trading Cade. While we can get something for him

  37. Y'all still think they're not fucked until they get rid of the GM?

The level of credulity required to hold that opinion gets more and more indefensible by the day.
