pickett minutes wont work unless he has shooters around him. peyton and braun aren't going to shoot so u almost need him to play with jokic and have reggie stagger with the bench.

Nikola Jokić has passed Larry Bird for number one player that has the most games with 10+ rebounds, 10+ points and exactly 9 assists, with 31 games.
Reggie pulled us out tonight on many occasions. That was a bad night for Jokic , he didn’t have the touch around the rim . But even his bad nights are still next level compared to other players .
denver bench stepped up from scoring back to back single digit games coming in to this one where they had 22 😦

Jalen is so much better him. He does everything Collin does, but BETTER WITH ADD UP DEFENSE,REBOUNDING AND ROTATION. Jalen is just straight up better.

Give Jay Huff and Hunter Tyson some burn. 2nd unit needs someone setting picks and shooters. Julian Strawther will come around also. Pickett has to have some shooters around him.
One big part for concern in Pickett's game is how often he drives, stops under basket, turns and then looks for a bail pass. It happened couple of times in summer league as well. I'm afraid he just isn't tall to see other people and not familiar with Denver's players, which is understandable, but still scary if he is not given time to build that familiarity whit time.
The other thing I liked about Pickett is the size compared to Gillespie
This team is going to struggle without Jamal Murray. If they can stagger Jamal Murray with the 2nd unit, the Nuggets are a juggernaut. If they have to stagger Reggie Jackson with Jalen Pickett they are going to lose a bunch of games. He's simply too small and slow to either punish press coverage or prevent guys from shooting over him. Christian Braun needs to get his shooting back for them to be a complete team.

MPJ is a major disappointment & putting even more pressure on Jok to perform with Mal out. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
I think it’s more than confidence w him; I wonder if he’s looking over his shoulder since they drafted Strawther, who is essentially a MPJ clone & a healthier one & less expensive one at that. Tyson also could easily take MPJ’s spot.
So although they’re rookies there are options behind Mike. Look, I like the dude but am convinced this time next year he’s not on the team. He’s major trade bait. His overblown salary makes it impossible they keep him & are able to resign KCP soon & then AG in two years. And ask yourselves: of those 3, who is essential & who is expendable? Easy choice.
You guys have said it before but apparently nobody likes to entertain it; MPJ is sort of odd man out & has never really fit in to what Denver is doing with Joker.
