I’m trying to understand why Maxey is higher. Don’t get me wrong, he’s super talented but he’s only averaging 1 RPG and 4 more PPG than Hali (while taking 4+ more shots a game) while shooting a lower percentage, averaging 5.5 less assists per game. All this while playing 4 more minutes per game.
Hali is significantly more efficient with his minutes

2 players on the same team above him cancel each other out, so he’s really #2. That’s just math.

Conveniently cropping out that he at 4th is a 2.9% chance lmao. Jokic is at 76% with this calculator

This is just an algorithm based on past years and currently dealing with a small sample size. Fun to mess with but nothing to take that seriously.
That said, what is something to take seriously is that other than Tingus Pingus, THog has the lowest MPG on this list. That’s great to see.

Sorry but a team can’t have 2 mvps. That defeats the purpose.
