Zach Lavine with Haliburton would be wild. ngl. But I'm with you. It might be one season too early to swing for the fences.
I think Lavine's skillset is redundant with Haliburton+Mathurin (whom I would not move for Lavine). He doesn't bring enough to what's already the league's top offense to justify giving up major assets for. I think Patrick Williams is interesting; it's possible a change of scenery is what he needs to find his footing. Consistency was an issue and as you said the season hasn't started well, but Williams is certainly the archetype the Pacers have been looking for. It was reported over the summer that he wanted 200m+ for his next contract, which is a double edged sword: of course no one wants to pay such an unrealistic price but that also includes the Bulls, who have no one else close to his timeline. My personal opinion is that Vucevic doesn't fit the speed the Pacers play with, but I could also see trailer 3s being a weapon as the fastbreak collapses the defense.
Lavine doesn’t play enough defense to justify moving assets for him imo. They don’t have trouble scoring, and if we did I’d be more interested in developing Mathurin for a season or 2
Lavine would be A home run fit in Orlando and they have the assets to do it. I see zero chance Lavine becomes A Pacer. A deal would have to include Mathurin most likely. I just dont see it happening.
