Love to see the depth of this team on display. Great win.

  2. This is so fun. Everyone has been doing their job so well lately

  3. ScutumSobiescianum

We have an incredible even and deep bench, with loads of variety. Gotta love it

God it feels great to be excited about Thunder basketball again. Let’s do this again on Saturday and finish the season series!

Best part of this game was the composure down the stretch to close it out and not get rattled by the Warriors push in the 3rd and didn’t play down to the competition or choke it away (e.g. the Kings game without Fox and the game against the Pels). We need to build consistency in winning these types of games to truly be elite

Edit: Also Isaiah Joe is my God

Bench redeeming themselves after a rough couple games

also love to see Giddey shoot 3s, just need him to take open ones and we’ll be solid

  7. GhostAvila

Joe, Kenrich, Micic and Wallace are so good of the bench. Probably the best bench we’ve ever had.

reposting from game thread: we gotta be going after some veteran center or atleast a decent youngish rim running one. they don’t even have to be the best in the world, we just need experience and a big body.

    Shai has entered unguardable territory
Isaiah Joe and Cason Wallace.might be the best shooting backcourt in the NBA.
Josh Giddey is nice, super nice.

when was the last time Giddey was 3-3 from three lol. whole team just could not miss tonight. Also why was Micic getting DNP’d? people on this sub said probably because of defense but he seems okay on that end to me. was he just not in playing shape or something?

    Me watching Joe this game

  12. marion_and_beau

I predicated a big Giddey game and said he’d hit **a** three. He hit three of them, I’ll have to predict his statlines in the game thread every game lol.

I’ve been critical of his fit, but if he can just keep a defense honest and if he can step into the three point shot, it gives me a little bit of hope than we can make this core work.

  13. I will never not be thrilled about beating the Warriors. They deserve a losing record for once this decade

  14. MakeCocktailsNotWar

So happy to beat the Warriors and having Dray watch it all from the bench… Dumb ass nut kicking punk.

    TTFU!!! 🌩

  15. Random thoughts:

    – Isaiah Joe Masterclass
    – Shai disaster class… Okay I just wanted to say that so I could rhyme but it wasn’t a great game from him. Feels like part of his adjustment this season is letting other players like JDub cook when he doesn’t have it (it being the whistle and good shot selection).
    – Giddey has been looking wayyyyyy better since he stopped going crazy trying to get a bucket every time he touched the rock. Even on defense.
    – Isaiah Joe Masterclass
    – Dort, Cason, and Kenrich did what they had to do this game. I’m consistently impressed with how solid Cason is on both sides of the ball especially.
    – Chet played well but that matchup in the post on CP3 is something to watch. Definitely a mismatch he should’ve punished more times than he actually did.
    – JDub is figuring out when he needs to play like the best Thunder player on the floor and it has elevated the team.
    – This is a game where Micic shows you why some people were intrigued by him joining the team at the start of the season. He was a very steady hand when the starting 5 was sitting.
    – You can tell they’re trying to rebound more but I’m 100% sure at this point that a rebounder will be the next roster move.

Warriors wise, it’s like the MonStars stole Wiggins’s talent and it looks like age has gotten through every screen Klay tries to come off of. Podziemski is the real deal. No idea what his ceiling is but he’s going to be good for a long time.

  16. Pretty sweet to win a game by 19 when our two best scorers have off nights. I honestly don’t know how we’re gonna split minutes going forward. Glad to finally see Micic getting some run. He’s the most creative passer on the team, which is saying something since we have Giddey. He’s obviously still confused where he needs to be defensively, but it’s obvious he’s trying very hard, which goes a long way.
