So what exactly would we even give up? Our two picks? That’s the only way we outbid any other team for him

  2. Giroux-TangClan

He was who I wanted more than anyone else so this has me worried.

Because I’m an idiot and I’m almost always wrong. Fingers crossed

  3. Was a student at A&M during the time him and House led us to back to back sweet 16’s. This is kind of my dream hahaha

  4. ClintiusMaximus

I was hoping we could grab Alec Burks or Bojan Bogdanovic

  5. Immynimmy

Caruso and Brogdon (I know he hasn’t been great thus far this year) would be an awesome get.

he’s the only bulls player we need rn fit-wise. he can defend, dribble and pass. would compensate maxey’s d well and possibly might be benchtime pg in this roster. if we’re not giving up too much, i’m 100% in

  7. mnewman19

He’s fine but idk why this sub is so obsessed with him. He’d a be a decent bench piece

  8. I must be missing something cause this doesn’t excite me at all

  9. Man is averaging 8 ppg and shooting 36% from 3? This is what we’re gonna blow our draft capital on?

If Caruso is available, we will sadly get outbid. That said, Lakers and Bucks being 2nd and 3rd favorites is beyond stupid. They simply don’t have the assets to make a play. The most realistic landing spot is also the most annoying: Denver. Buckle up lol

Now that Melton is scoring again I’m no longer interested in Caruso tbh

  12. Alex_Phillips_

Call me crazy but he’s not much of an upgrade over Melton. Better defender sure but he’s also a worse shooter. Definitely not worth what he’s likely to get on the open market where 10+ teams will be bidding against each other.

I swear people read something and then jusy parrot it. The amount of people who prefer Caruso to Lavine is wild.

I’m not saying we need to get Lavine because that contract sucks but the truth is the team lacks serious offense. That Embiid lineup with all hustle “dawgs” was horrendous. Caruso ain’t fixing that.

    Maxey-Caruso-Harris-OG-Embiid

    My dream starting lineup

Caruso’s virtues on the court have been discussed enough. Personally I think he’s a near perfect fit next to Maxey who makes up for the overall team weaknesses, and his productivity in the playoffs is far more significant than his pedestrian point per game stat. This is a guy you want to have in the playoffs to pester the hell out of the great guards and wings that are in the East. This is a guy you want to have next to a young PG in Maxey to serve as a secondary ball-handler.

But one potential advantage of Caruso that Morey might see that the casual fan might not is that Caruso is locked into a bargain contract (sub 10 million) for 1 more year. That is potentially massive for team building to have that kind of production from that small of a salary.

As a basis of comparison, just consider Melton’s salary this offseason. His agent would be a fool to ask for anything less than $25 million in this era of inflated salaries. Melton might have to settle for $20 million, but he’ll get it from somebody. Even if you think Melton is slightly better than Caruso in a vacuum, Caruso is the far better value that allows the team the financial flexibility to add another piece within the salary cap in a crucial offseason.

  16. He would cost too much. I think you could add springer or kj and a few seconds and get someone much better like Quickley. Or get someone like Tyus for much cheaper.

  17. Caruso would be a great pickup and I hope Daryl can get it done.

  18. MoroDaEater

Sixers gonna get shot out the gym from 3 in the playoffs but yeah sure lets add more non shooters

  19. Not mad at this.

I’m always curious what the asking price ends up being. Feels like I’m wrong 90% of the time.

He’s always so annoying when the Sixers play hi . He looks like a bug but I’d much rather him annoying other teams for the Sixers. Good fit, let’s do it.
