They never left
Heat are beating some powerhouses in those 7 games too like the 2-9 Wizards, 2-9 Grizzlies, 3-8 Spurs and 3-7 Hornets.
The teams they have defeated are a combined 28/50.
Most the teams they beat are lottery teams, there is a really good chance its 4 lottery and 3 play in teams and no playoff teams.
Mavericks are 9-3 so they are clearly the third best team in the NBA.
I still believe the Heat will be good but they, like the Mavericks, are not top tier contenders. They had a miracle run to make the finals last year and got embarrassed by a miles better team.
