  1. I’m sad we lost but I’m damn proud of how we played

  2. PrecisionAcc

Probably wouldn’t have mattered in the end, but no foul on the last play? Even if it’s <1% chance of winning, there’s still a chance

JC in the “I’m making all those terrible shots I take” phase of the JC roller coaster. Keyonte was a baller tonight but I do think he took a few bad shots, still miles better than Sexton and THT’s abysmal minutes.

  4. DoubtsAndHopes

Almost everyone played well today except the usual suspects and Olynyk.

Honestly for this season, a great game ending in a loss isn’t the worst thing

  6. Brutus583

My only takeaway from this game is that Keyonte is fucking special and we won the Keyonte George sweepstakes in the draft.

  7. Denotsyek

$190 million vs $135 million. We did great boys. Be proud.

Sometimes KD just does KD things. Jazz played a great game despite the L. If they play like this every night, this is gonna be another fun season, record be damned.

I’m just tired of THT and even Sexton at this point. Really hoping a trade happens sooner rather than later

Yes that stung, but I can also put emotions aside and say that was a good game. We played well. Was a coin flip at the end, and Durant Duranted.

That was a hell of a game. Love seeing Keyonte with some confidence. We desperately need Walker back though. Lauri looks exhausted playing defense as a center.

Obviously it hurts to lose, but the difference in energy between our game against Phoenix a few weeks ago and tonight is night and day. If Kessler can come back and return to last year’s form, then we’ll be a fun team to watch.

Can’t be too upset about that loss. A few calls go our way or we drop a few buckets and we win this.

Hard to beat KD when he is hot like that, sadly he cooked Markkanen a few times.

The only real mistake was holding sexton in till the 8 minute mark. THT can also catch some of that blame, but that was bad basketball that got us behind the fourth

Also I guess Nurkic can kind of do what he wants defensively and not get a whistle. They were hard on Markannen but when the jazz were slightly hard on Booker they got foul calls. Could just be my own feelings but I was frustrated a few times.

Favorite game of the year and ugh my heart hurts

Really fun game overall though. Lotta great plays from us on both ends. And like holy moly, Keyonte looks so legit it’s crazy. Plus I’m glad I won’t have to hear another dumb take about how JC doesn’t have it anymore. Turns out when he’s actually playing the role he’s good at he’s pretty fucking good.

I’m really excited to see how the chemistry will look once Walker gets back into the mix!

  16. Even if we lose every game this year I’ll still be smiling we got Keyonte

Those THT and Sexton minutes were brutal. Even those few minutes with JC, JC literally took the ball after 5 straight shitty possessions between those two.

    GAME NOTES:

What an all around team effort today. 10 players scored 5+, with 4 scoring 10+. Nobody had a bad game from my perspective.

Jordan Clarkson had an insane 3rd quarter, and finished with 37 points on 14-26 shooting, 5-10 from 3, and 4-4 from the free throw line. He had no turnovers, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Although he had 2x the FGA as the next highest player (Collins, George, and Lauri), he was hitting them and making something out of nothing. He was looking really good tonight.

Lauri played a good game, but didn’t nearly get enough shots up. 5-11 shooting, 1-4 from 3, 10-12 from the line. Him getting to the free throw line is a great development, and will help him maintain his PPG. Only 2 rebounds, but no negative marks imo from him. He had 21 points to finish the game.

John Collins with a big game on the boards, really made up for the lack of Kessler. 14 rebounds, 4 of them offensive, to go with 15 points. 5-10 from the field, 1-2 from deep, 4-6 from the free throw line. I thought he played a good game, especially against Nurkic. He did such a great job keeping the Suns off the glass.

Keyonte played another great game. 15 points, and he finally found his shot! 5-11 from the field, 3-6 from 3. He had a clutch steal, and 6 assists to go with 3 turnovers. He is playing with confidence and some personality now, which we didn’t see his first 10 games. He needs to be our starter when Kessler is back or we riot.

Agbaji played a good game offesnively, and buddy tried his hardest against KD but it just wasn’t happening. KD cooked hhim, but Ochai was 3-4, and was 2-2 from deep for 8 points, 5 rebounds. No assists, but my favorite stat was his 3 blocks.

THT played the worst game of our entire team, but he was our leading scorer off the bench with 9 points, 2-5 from the field, 1-4 from deep. 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 turnovers, 4 fouls. 19 minutes played. Same ole THT

Nothing too much to mention about the others. A whole lotta offense tonight, not a lot of defense. We finally lost our first tourney game, but our point differential and record is good enough to move on for now.

    4-8 (2-1 tourney record)

  19. Utah is a talented team with a few obvious holes on the bench. This season is far from over

  20. Also Ochai Agbaji propaganda continues tonight. Dude is wildly underrated

  21. Was fun to watch, they tried their best. Some lapses in the end but KD is really insane playing like a NBA2k bot the entire game.

Clarkson best game so far against a contender team… hope he continue his flamethrower mode

  22. MissnMacMiller

It’s gotta be Sexton or THT, make them compete against each other for minutes.

  23. rc_cola34

Said it in the game thread but props to hardy he has these guys playing much better.

Felt similar to last years grit. On that note though we gotta get lauri more involved late in games. Suns did a hell of a job stopping him but we tried the same on KD and you see what happened.

No excuses for our all star to not be touching the ball.

keyonte finishing with 29 minutes isn’t my favorite either.

  24. tenisplenty

If Keyonte and Ochai each get 10 more minutes of playing time the Jazz win this game. That stretch with Keyonte on the bench at the end of the 3rd beginning of the 4th was brutal.

Only play THT 10 minutes a night as Keyonte’s backup.

  25. Is Sensabaugh really that much worse than THT or Sexton? I’d like to see it

  26. Youngcheeese

How come sensabaugh and hendricks dont get playing time at all?

  27. Can’t even be mad at it- I *thoroughly* enjoyed watching this game.

  28. Pharrelliper

I know there was a thread about trading for Zach Levine and most people said know

Have we considered that Sexton and Talent will cover 30 million of that salary and free up Kris Dunn as well?

  29. DrJames_Oxford

That was a great game. Keyonte continues to SHINE.

I also LOVED Ochai’s big boi defense.

    Exciting times!
