The Golden State Warriors Need To Do THIS To Start Winning Again
They Warriors are having some trouble winning games at the present time and while some issues seem obvious, others are a bit more subtle. Here’s a look at what the team could do to get better results.
This is Kerr Faults and new GM. Getting stuck with green who always a problem because of buddy buddy. They need a new line up to replace looney, Green,. Both can't guard the rim. Spoiled idea and bad choice. they want small line up. The know they need a big man who can block and guard the rim. These line up we call midget line up.
Great analysis, and yes I do agree – bitterly – with your assessment of the current situation. Got to get whole again, play 10 games, reassess from there
I also am critical with Steve Kerrs weak zone defense that creates poor weak side defense . I also do not understand Kerr playing 2 or 3 point guards on the court at the same time for example Cory Joseph and CP3 playing together and by passing Moody for Joseph? That is no shot blocking threat and we saw OKC shoot lights out to give the 5th straight loss because of stuff like that
Blow it up fam, not even Steph can carry this sorry excuse of a team and he's seemingly too nice of a guy to hold people accountable. Who knows what's up with Wiggins but I'm beginning to suspect that the 22 run was the best version of him we will ever see and he won't even come close to that again. Whatever has happened in his personal life, basketball is clearly not much of a priority for him and I don't think he's physically 100% either. Klay is washed all the bad habits and foibles that were covered up by sheer talent and athleticism for years are now plainly obvious. He's selfish, lacks IQ on the court and won't do what's necessary in the locker room. He's just convinced that Game 6 Klay is still in there somewhere despite 3 years of evidence to the contrary.
Kerr should be fired at this point, he's so obsessed with running as many guards on the court at once that it is getting beyond a joke. I'm out of things to possibly explain why Moody is continuing to be benched despite having done everything that was asked of him with a smile on his face. He's been more consistent and reliable than JK and has shown all the attributes the team says that it values and now Cory Joseph is getting minutes over him.
Don't get me started on Donkey, he's a clown with no self awareness at all. I defended him for many years but I can't any longer. His impact on winning is a shadow of what it used to be and his lack of emotional maturity is pathetic for a guy in his mid 30s who's supposed to be the vocal leader of the team. The team clearly showed that they can't hold him accountable years ago.
I'd much rather watch young hungry players like JK, Mood and Podz etc play in losing efforts than more of this farce of team with tired old Vets who haven't shown the work ethic they preach continuing to delude themselves and the fans into thinking they actually have a hope in hell of making another playoff run.
The Biggest problem with GS is 1. Kerr 2. Klay 3. Wiggs. Kerr's fascination with 3 6' guard lineups is idiotic. He disrespects Moody and continues to play Saric at the 5 even tho he is proven to be a better 4. He needs to mix his starters with his bench, like he did in the years GS was dominating. He also needs to empower Moody to be more aggressive offensively. Podz needs to be a spark off the bench when the offense is sluggish. They have all the pieces they need but Kerr doesn't want to use them correctly or make in-game adjustments.
I think most of this noise I’m hearing right now is an overreaction. Klay and Wiggs have started slow, Steph and Draymond are out. All those things will work themselves out.Klay and wiggs will both come back to form, as long as Steph and Draymond come back I ain’t worried. They’re a much better team/roster then last year.
Kuminga, Moody, and a lot of the young guys don't get a lot of minutes because it's simple. They can be very questionable on defense. You would think an athletic freak like Kuminga would lock-down every person he faces, but he doesn't. Although, he has shown flashes of great defense at times like when he guarded K.D. Go rewatch Ant-Man's monster dunk 2 games ago. Ant blew by Kuminga like he didn't exist and Kuminga did nothing but to throw up a half-assed girly swipe at the ball. Unacceptable for a guy who might even be more athletic than Ant.
9:41 This is dead on, down to every detail. Keep the starting lineup, but have everyone but Steph (and maybe Dray) on reduced minutes. More minutes for TJD and Podz, and Kuminga needs to have the training wheels taken off, and see what he can do in a bigger role, for better or worse. Moody and GP2 also both need to have arguably bigger roles than Klay and Wiggins, or at least on the same level.
These losses are just part of the process in becoming NOT the most perfect team in 2023-24, just the best out of 29 other teams. We’ll get there. Even after last night, there can’t be more than a dozen other teams in the NBA that are ahead of us, and trust me, OKC are gonna have their own ups and downs in their journey too.
The team is facing a closing window to win another championship with Curry leading the way. Maybe this year and next year and then the team will have to be restructured and the system totally reconfigured without Curry, KT and Dray. Is Kerr up to designing a completely new system to accomodate young guys with different skill sets? That's a BIG question going forward, but for now Wiggs is a total liability, and KT has lost it and both MUST regain their form over the next 10 games and hold it til the playoffs. If not, they must take a seat before Thanksgiving and be on the block before the All Star Game while there are teams out there willing to give real value for them. There is no time to see if their play is just a slump because if it isn't and they continue their downward spiral over the first half of the seasson, this season – and next season – will be lost, and they will produce minimum value on the block after this season. The clock is ticking and both guys better get their games in gear real soon or they'll need to be fitted for new jerseys.
Warriors fan since 2011. Whatever is up with Klay and Wiggins is off court psychology. They are competitive and can come back. As for Draymond, his anger this season is severe. He had been ejected twice before he wanted to choke the life out of Gobert. I trust my team to figure it out. They have to, or the waste another Steph MVP season and the dynasty is well and truly over. C'mon guys! Get is together, please!
Klay has been my guy for years, but I am starting to ask "WTF"? Steph gets better every single year. I know he's had so much time off due to injuries… But, c'mon Klay! You shoot! You're one of the best shooters (and a Splash Brother) and you can't shoot or splash the broadside of a barn? C'mon, Captain Klay. They way it is right now… Game 6 won't happen this year.

It's on the Stubborn coach that will live and die with smallball

They’ll be fine. Growing pains
benching wiggs and klay is a gamble but given the circumstances could be a good one

Starting lineup minutes:
Looney: 20
Dray: 26
Wiggins: 20
Klay: 18
Steph: 34
Bench minutes:
TJD: 16
Kuminga: 25
Moody: 22
GP2: 22
CP3: 22
Saric: 10
Podz: 15
I like CP3 but I find it bewildering that wherever he goes gets high hopes and no championships.
Completely agree.
We need to trade wiggs for Zack lavine we lose defense but we can hide it if it comes down to it

GSW still on track to win 75 games!! 🎉🎉❤❤
"We have a decade of experience closing games, winning games, winning championships. Last year was an exception, this year's the rule."
– Steve Kerr, Nov. 2023

Here's an idea for Coach Kerr:
Make every player earn their spot… just like high-school and college.
You don't deliver, you're on the bench until you perform.
Being great one year does not mean you're in the starting five for life.
Make the earn it.
FINALLY! SOMEONE SAID IT!
reduce Klay & Wiggins minutes
increase Moody’s minutes
add TJD in the rotation
I’ve been waiting for any youtuber to say this coz these are also exactly my thoughts. Thank you Swish Culture!
