I know the sample size is quite small at only 3 games, but expanding the sample size to 6 games (half the season) doesn’t show much drop-off. Over the last 6 games the bucks are also top 10 in both offensive and defensive ratings. Its very encouraging to see that the bucks are playing like a top team both offensively and defensively. The stats can be seen here: https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-team-defensive-rating-ranking-last-3-games.

They have been better since the Knicks game. Putting Brook in drop brought some coherence back to the defensive scheme.
Am I seeing this right the bucks are 10th in DefRTG since the 2-2 start? (Last 8 games)
Yeah, 100% the team looks significantly better in the last 3 games, don’t even need the stats, just watching the game it has been pretty obvious. Good stuff !
Are you suggesting that a team with a new coaching staff, a last minute change at a key assistant position, and a late addition superstar who is known for needing time to get used to new players may have just gotten off to a slow start before figuring it out a bit?
It’s somewhat meaningless, but so was our DRTG after the first 3 games.
The defense is looking better. I doubt it’ll still be elite, but we can good-average.
Defense looks a lot better especially since the Young gazelles are getting a chance to provide some energy.
I don’t expect them to look as good tonight though…2 all star/all nba guards on the 2nd night of a back to back.
