What’s 1 thing the Mavs need to do to fix their defense?
Nick is it because Luka's playing 14 straight games compare to last year being injured and have to set out to some games? He looks not synch with his shots

Up, Mavs looked tired and didn’t have legs. Lots of short shots
Luka had some lock down defense in that 4th qtr on one specific possession then the ball handler just blew right by him. It was so deflating to see
GREEN AND Powell can go… and THJ does nothing but just shoot the ball he plays like the second option i see everybody even Kyrie flying and closing out whilst THJ act like how i expect Kyrie to play on defense
A trade for Caruso and Drummond is the first solution. The second is Isaac for THJ.
All those "Nico is cooking" comments in the off-season just looking like a bunch of fools who thought the Mavs were gonna contend.
Meanwhile porzingis basically carrying the Celtics with consistent offense and elite rim protection defense…freaking Nico, never gonna forgive him for that trade smh
It´s so cursed. They can´t defend perimeter because once the opposing player gets through the first guy it´s just wide open in the paint almost always. Because our interior defense sucks, our perimeter defense sucks.
Stat of the night 46 mins from Powell & Liv. Total 6 points 10 rebounds & 1 assist. McGee plays 9 mins same guy Kidd wouldn't play at all yet his points 7 with 6 rebounds and 0 assist. So obvious we are dieing for a rim protector to play when Liv not on the floor. Second Williams, Jones & Green simply too small to slow down any of the mid to top 4 position. Williams a big three? No way, Boston realized this, too small and simply not athletic enough. A great role player and possibly a starter at 3 but no way the 4. Jones same not sure he would start with too many top half team. Unless we light up the 3 pt shot we have no chance. We just not good enough right now to beat top 5 teams. Use to be a joke in the ACC how do you hold Jordan and Worthy each below 20 pts per game? Let Dean Smith coach them. How do you hold Luka below 30 pts and triple doubles regularly? Let Kidd coach him. It's not just mins played but rotation and sitting in 4th when 1 to 3 assist & rebounds short or 3 to 5 points short of 30 points. IMO there has been 3 games he could have hit a triple double given 3 to 5 more mins. People will argue oh just padding stats, watch Curry, The Greek, Dame, Embid, Mitchell, Shai, even Durant. Only stars that I don't see having those monster games because of coach. Joker & Luka. 100% coach to win the game. But support and build up Irving & Luka they are our stars and we need to build up their confidence. As they go Mavs go.
