Miami Heat: Why are they struggling in the fourth? | Five on the Floor

The Miami Heat excelled late in games last season, even if the offense wasn’t explosive. So why are they falling apart in the fourth quarter now? And is it more the offense, the defense or the lineup combinations? Ethan, Greg and Brady discuss.

  1. Jimmy Butler was not put the entirety of 4th qtr
Juan Wick should be subout in place of Locksmith
Bam not having set up play to score in the 4th
Sometimes Coach Spo was stubborn sticking to his rotation!

  2. Flow, an under calculated Stat

Just b4 the Bulls game, I was going to build a story for

the team’s 7 game streak. I was going to show HH’s

Floor time with Bam. What I found was kinda the opposite.

    The +/- together, isn’t stellar.

And in the Bulls loss, HH finished with a +20, so say what

you will, it wasn’t on HH’s watch.

Throughout this season, HH has a very good +/- result.

It would appear that these positive #’s are being accumulated

after Bam sits and HH remains.

The unexpected conclusion maybe, Bam is better, HH is better,

Can there be a new rotation coming that will increase results?

Certainly CM’s addition, plus a looming TH, will add to the

confusion of finding the greatest Flow.

  3. Q4, 3J, not one shot – Here is a news flash, 3J has the 2nd highest

Shooting % on the team. This is an automatic mismatch as,

Bam & JB will get covered by 3guys, 3J needs to shoot!

Flow, 7:11 Bulls full time out.

This is where JB could have come in, hindsight? When your

Pillar has just been rocked for 3 fouls, why not bring JB in

Vs at the 6min mark, which happened to be, only a 3 pt lead.

  4. We have limited ball handling bunch of players who can score but not a lot of players that can keep a live dribble to get others good shots been like that since dragic left
