Pascal makes zero sense there. Especially since he won’t re-sign.

OG is a great fit for them, but Masai will ask for Murray, Kings will say no and that’s it

Siakam is an awkward fit and if Murray is off the table then there’s no offer to be had from them that outbids the Hawks offer we allegedly turned down

I think we need more time to evaluate. We should bring all of our UFA’s into free agency instead.

It’s a pretty simple negotiation. Are the Kings willing to trade Murray? If yes then Murray + Filler with a negotiation around what kind of pick comes in Toronto’s way is discussed. If no, then good bye.

The only non-Murray trade that’s remotely possible is 2026, 2028 and 2030 FRPs, with Barnes, Mitchell and Heurter. Doesn’t seem like a Masai trade to me but that’s the only way I see them getting Pascal without moving Murray. We’d probably flip Barnes for another FRP and have a solid pick inventory to make a move or two in the offseason to surround Scottie with appropriate talent on his timeline.

Before the “You’re not getting that for an expiring Siakam” crowd comes out, the Raptors don’t have to move him. He’s 29, he’s said he’ll re-sign. We offer him an extension and have an all-NBA player that we can trade with term on his deal next year if things aren’t working out.

When the Kings traded for Sabonis they dealt a much better player than Murray in Halliburton. Halliburton was putting up 14/4/7.5 while shooting 41% from 3 when he got traded. Murray is averaging 14/6.5/2 while shooting 28% from 3 (39% from the field).

You don’t trade away all-NBA talents just for the sake of making a change if they are willing to stay. Pretty simple

I would be very surprised to see OG traded. Masai might have to have some tough discussions with Pascal.

The Kings do have a lot of shooters with Keegan/Huerter/Monk/HB/Sasha on their squad that could help a Raptors squad desperately needing shooting. But I don’t really see a trade that both teams would really want to do. Obviously Kings would want to keep Keegan, but I’m not sure how desperately they would actually want Pascal, especially with no guarantees of him re-signing. On the flip side, we’ve seen how our FO values our guys, and even with contracts expiring, I don’t really see them jumping through hoops to make a trade work if Keegan’s off the table.

  7. “we offer none of our good young players, only salary filler. One OG and one Siakam please”

  8. I like what Saceamento could offer but I feel like they probably want OG more than Siakam. And unless OG directly indicates he would like to be traded or that he won’t re-sign, I don’t see us moving him.

OG absolutely has to stay, and he should have been resigned last freaking year!

Fire this FO into this sun if they reject any half-decent offer for Siakam.

Ideally Kegan Murray + Salary Filler but most likely Salary Filler + Picks. Trade out will most likely be Pascal. Don’t think they want to max Pascal and OG. With a Scottie Barnes max extension that’s inevitable. And we don’t have the luxury to delay this decision until offseason as Sixers will make an aggressive push on OG/Pascal with Nurse connection and Embiid and Pascal personal connection.

For Siakam, if Murray isn’t on the table then there’s no deal to be had

Similar story for OG, unless he basically tells the FO he’s walking and they’d settle for Davion Mitchell or something. I don’t think the Kings have many tradeable picks due to protections on their outgoing pick.

  13. Murray is without a doubt an auto include for either guy. The kings don’t have much to outbid other teams for OG or Siakam, Murray however is def a good piece to start the conversation.

It would be nice if we could get Vezenkov, he would bring a lot of shooting and fits in nicely with the system we want to implement. He is also great moving without the ball which I think benefits Scottie.
