Good video but I have to tell you. They do actually play defense, you do not watch the games at all from what I've noticed. I don't know if your opinion is based on highlights or espn propaganda. But watch the games you will notice they do. They might not be the best at it but they do.

Luka is a different beast out there. He is looking to score and force the defense to defend him, but he doesn't have a problem with passing the ball or with his numbers… He will score on you if you give him one-on-one coverage and he will do so long as you bring in other defenders and then he really goes to work feeding his dudes with the open shots and alley oops and free layups. He is next level… And the efficiency is off the charts too. You could kind of let him shoot his 35% three pointer, but not the 42% three he has been having this season. And Kyrie is a big reason for that… Luka used to take some really hard shots as all of the defense was centered on him, but now he has Kyrie out there to take them open shots and create for himself, others and even for Luka. Luka doesn't have to force his shot as much as he has had to in previous years so his efficiency has gone up and the league is in trouble…
Luka moving without the ball and finding his spots is a big upgrade from last year. Something we rarely seen Luka do. Kai is just Kai he'll make it work.

I like the back and forth between Kyrie and Luka. Make it hard to double and then it helps creates mismatches … I like how they playing with more physicality and the way we can go fast/slow/super slow mo.. I would like to see more Luka cuts to the basket even if it leads to him posting on the block ..
So the whole awful defense narrative is so flawed & I suggest you watch the games or look at the box scores & look at it by quarter & half to half. The first 4 games they had god awful 1Q’s on defense & the rest of the game they played like top 10 defense by the numbers. The last 6 games outside of Denver ( Our HC Kidd wasn’t there & our rotations were all fucked up along with TO management but no excuse I get it ) the Raptors game they didn’t have Livley in that game. The other 4 games they have blown out teams so badly by the 3rd quarter that they were up 30+ points & the starters barley if at all didn’t play in the past 2 games 4Q’s. Both the clippers & Pelicans games both of them had only 85 & 87 total points to start the 4Q. Luka & Kyrie both have been fantastic on defense this year you have to watch games to see for yourself that the narrative they don’t is so horribly wrong especially this season.
