[Andrew Greif] Kawhi said Harden “makes the game a lot easier for me. Gets me wide open looks and that’s all I can ask for. He’s stepping it up on defense but it’s a group thing. We have to be able to get in the paint, move the ball, and also do the detailed things … on the defensive end.”

And they say Kawhi ain’t a leader.
It was always clear that Russ’ lack of gravity on the perimeter hurt Kawhi. Kawhi was also cognizant of that, often trying to avoid making the extra pass to Russ.
Harden/Kawhi is a much better pairing. They tend to take their time on offense watching what the defense gives them while more methodically breaking it down.
On the other hand, it’s clear that PG/Russ still have great chemistry and vibes together. They play with lots of momentum, like to have a faster attacking offense, and they definitely are a bit riskier.
Having one of these pairs on the court at all times is a huge W for the Clips, and I really hope the discourse around “who starts” starts to die down.
Kawhi-Harden and PG-Russ are great duos that we can work with.
