He’s starting to do what Ime did. Really call players out publicly. Make it known to the press what the team is doing wrong. It hits a little bit harder when those critiques aren’t exclusively private.
They’ll learn from this. As much as it sucks this loss means nothing in the grand scheme of things. I’d rather lose now than on Wednesday when it counts a little more.

He’s not wrong. We have been getting by off of talent alone in the Toronto and Memphis game, and the effort level is severely lacking. They got up to play the Knicks and Sixers but since then have looked lazy. I’m glad he is saying this publicly.

He isn’t wrong. They were. He should call them out specifically

He’s not wrong tbh. It’s early season and sometimes focus is lost on a B2B 3 games in 4 days. Y’all get too worked up. Every title team has a few losses like this in season and you build on it

A lot of this comes from seven games in twelve days, almost all on the road.

Yeah they went up big in the first half, Tatum was cooking and they sorta mailed it in. I think they were gassed too. Most every 3 was short off the rim. Still. You can’t take a night off against any team in the league these days.

Road back to back. Two rotation guys out. It’s almost a scheduled loss. Maybe we don’t want the guys to shrug it off but as fans we can absolutely just move on.
We moved on from the Grizzlies game didn’t we?

joe mazzulla having this type of job is a fucking joke.

They were up 9 with 2 mins left, and then gave up 2 putbacks to Williams, and a layup and 3 to Lamelo.
On the other end, Jaylen bricked two horrific shots, Tatum missed a layup, Jrue bricked both FTs, and Sam airmailed the 3 at the buzzer.
