If you dig a little deeper the only bad minutes are the Jaylen/Jrue on Tatum off minutes. It’s not a ton of minutes but the results have been bad enough to drag Jaylens net ratings into the negative because the sample size is still small.
Which really is why I don’t put to much stock into these kind of per100 possession rates in the first half of the season – there’s just too much noise.
you gotta keep Tatum, Holiday or White on the floor with him. it’s a doomed experiment, he’s trying but he just isn’t a playmaker and never will be.
Been a problem for years
2 words: shot selection. Does Jaylen know that if he just gets to his spots every night he could put up consistently big numbers? I will never understand this hero ball mentality
I know logically it might not make sense but I think we should stop staggering the Jays. Let Brown play with Tatum where he’s at his best as a secondary guy, run White and Porzingis out with the second unit, could mix in Jrue and Al as well. At the very least I don’t think those lineups do any worse, and you can maximize your best line ups.
