Warriors have had the toughest strength of schedule so far

This warriors team has had a really tough schedule so far, first with that road-trip and then this homestand of only playing good teams. We have only played 1 game against teams below .500 so far. We’ve been missing Draymond most of the season and Curry for a couple games and Wiggins and Klay are still getting in their groove, and despite all this we are still 7 and 8. Nothing to be worried about for this team right now until we start losing against bad teams, we are much better than our record.

This is a quirk of calculation. When you give all your opponents a win by losing to them, they get a boost in rank.

No. No they haven’t. Warriors have been really lucky with their opponents’ star being out with injury and this metric doesn’t account for that.

They got the Kings without Fox, Thunder without Shai, Lakers without Lebron, Suns without Beal, Pelicans without Ingram, and Nuggets without Murray.

Yes, and the teams we played against are traditionally bad matchups for us anyways.

Klay’s game was encouraging yesterday. Long season. Health willing we’ll be right there in June.

They’re still starting to gel, injuries or lack thereof will tell the story.

  5. I feel like this year, more than most, the level of the NBA is ridiculously high.

TWolves, Houston, OKC are teams that have made a serious jump this year.

Dallas, LAL, LAC, Denver, Suns, Nuggets, Kings all have superstar power with the Warriors.

Only the Spurs and Blazers in the West seem like real low seeded teams. Even the Jazz will put up a fight. The only team to have really gotten worse is maybe Memphis – but we will see once Ja gets back.

That’s 10-11 teams that likely could be 1-5 seeds in any other year (or in the east).

All this to say, this entire year will be difficult. I don’t expect things to get too much easier for the dubs.

  6. Was at the game last night and saw a lot of positive signs. Saric and Chris Paul look like great additions. Klay and Wiggins getting back into form, young guys contributing. Despite the slow start I feel they will be a top 6 seed and playoff contender.

The team will be “fine” but that’s not good enough. It’s champion or bust

We gotta stay resilient dubs! let’s prove the nba wrong!!

~~(I pray that I’m not as delusional as Hoop Reports, but we’ll see for ourselves)~~

  9. 0-6. It is early in the season.

Don’t need to find fancy stats to excuse we lost 6 games straight.

One other little nuance is that playing the Wolves and Thunder two times in a row at home takes a little bit of that home advantage away on the second game. Usually a visiting team is *traveling to you* before they play you. That’s two home games where the visiting team was as rested as we were.

And we’ve played more games than most other teams by 2-3 games.

Other owners got together to punish us because we’ve been eating their lunch for the last 10 years.

  13. draymond-

If Denver plays us, their SoS barely increases.

If we play them, we have a rough schedule.

    Let that sink in.

Do we get a superstar at the deadline? Do the Bulls have a fire sale?

Yo the thunder and the wolves are legit. Cavs are too.
