Whoever wins the NBA Cup has the bragging rights as the best team in the NBA until playoffs start. Shaq is jealous and mad his 3peat will be over shadowed by a team that 3peats with NBA cup. He is anticipating the future arguments.

Can someone explain why we, as the fans, should care about in season tournament games? I understand the incentive for the players getting more money but is that it?
Stuff like the tournament is why I stopped watching NBA basketball. It's boring. Anybody can score shooting jumpshots but w/o defense and post play it's boring.
The highlights were all 3 pointers. It was just a 3 point shoot out.

Adam Silver is the best commissioner by far currently and is modernizing the NBA by introducing an in season tournament just like soccer/football. People will thank him for years to come for introducing this.
