I’ve often wondered why so many guys go to these rather than a traditional jump shot, but now I see if you’re doing it on the run you can use your off hand to create/maintain space, whereas with a traditional J, you’ve got both hands on the ball. But yeah, you have to be accurate enough to be making the shot, but you have to choose angles that get it over the just-starting-to-jump big’s oustretched arms. No easy feat.
One of those was just a standard layup, but even that was impressive with Lopez crashing in trying to swat it.
