  1. Yes the OKC Thunder is ready to contend, one setback would be experience which will only come if they can go to the playoffs

  2. Not yet ready to contend. First they must make the actual playoffs. Then, should they make it, we need to see how this group of Thunder players will perform. At that point, what they need should reveal itself.

  3. Idk I feel like they are a another year away for actually competing with contenders. They have never made the playoffs so we don’t know how everyone is going to perform in the playoffs ( even though I do think they are going to be fine but still) and honestly can’t see some of the prices like Lu dory being the answer in the starting lineup but they are really close for contending

  4. The lack of playoff experience on this roster is keeping me from calling them contenders, however in a year or two they will certainly be in those conversations

  5. They'll make the playoffs probably, they won't be getting very far. Lots of inexperience and if shay doesn't sign another contract extension this whole thing is going to fall apart.

  6. Theyre ready.
2 moves are needed to really solidify it though.
    1. Trade Dort for Rui. That solves our rebounding problem.
    2. Sign a great vet, forward maybe center, who is willing to be more of a PO guide than anything else.

The trade obviously does not have to be that but we need a dirty work, high defense, running, strong, stretch 4 to really take that last step.
Rui does not have to be that guy but i feel he is. He does evdrything above and would fit OKCs offense perfectly.

But theres others and we could shoot for the moon…….
What if we had a package of Giddey+Dort+2 to 4 firsts?
Thats a legit superstar 4, right?

  7. How about we just let it play out, OKC only needs another rebounder to go along with Chet and tbh Sarr is a good backup that should get more minutes

  8. I think roy race will be, unironically, like Lebron vs Melo. One super hyped prospect that is very popular in the nedia so theyre gonna get the roy, while real fans know that lowkey the other person deserved the roy.

  9. Thanks for putting Shai’s full first name in this video. Maybe it will help people stop pronouncing it like “shy.”

  10. Thunder fan here. Nah we’re not ready to contend just yet. I love the direction the team is going though. It’s only our first year with Chet and there’s a glaring rebounding problem that we can hopefully rectify in the draft or before the trade deadline. There’s some other things to continue to look out for like Josh warming up and hopefully Ous is still developing well playing with the Blue. Ultimately I 100% believe we’re making the playoffs this year no lower than like a 5-6.

  11. Contend is not the right word. Well know if it's the right word in the postseason. Right now they are competing for a good seed and figuring out what else they need to contend.
