How The LA Clippers Made It Three Straight Wins Despite The Boo Birds For Kawhi Leonard

The LA Clippers have made it 3 wins in a row in the Daniel Theis era. But really, 3-0 since they switched their starting lineup by moving Russell Westbrook to the bench. What were the keys to beating the San Antonio Spurs for a third time this season? What made it so much tougher? How was the guard play?

In this thanksgiving episode, die hard Los Angeles Clippers fan and Host Darian Vaziri breaks down the game and what worked so well. He also talks about 213, the point guard play of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, and the centers.

Greg Popovich also did something we had never seen before. Darian ends by giving his take on that.

  1. To the Daniel Theis point: “It’s so much fun playing with four future Hall-of-Famers on the same team. Winning makes it even more fun. I don’t care about the shots. I set screens and get those guys open.”

  2. Team chemistry is high, if inconsistent. Kawhi was robotically efficient. Much as I was against the trade (moreso than the acquisition), I have to admit that Harden brings another dimension of dish and scoring that Wall and Reggie could not approach. Hopefully we've already felt most of his downside this season; not holding my breath, though.
As soon as Theis (highest net@ +12) and Coffey entered in Q3 we went on a 8 or 10 point run.
The bench is like a game within a game every night; Russ might be the most unpredictable great player I've ever seen. His clock, mind and motor are… just something else.

  3. Stop playing Westbrook so much 🥴🤦🏼‍♂️ man about blew the game last night….. Why wait til Spurs comeback to insert T Mann ?

  4. We beating bums. Keep taking T Mann out vs these top teams coming up & watch how this streak ends 🤦🏼‍♂️😒🤷🏼‍♂️😭

  5. Am I the only who finds it funny spurs fans are still whining about kahwi 😂😂😂. You’d think he never helped get them a championship and 60 win seasons 😂.
I’m also not impressed by us blowing leads to this team no matter how much they claw back. We should’ve won by 25. Lue keeps using these goofy lineups in the 4th

  6. Kawhi grew up in the Spurs organization and was a vital part in there last championship. Pop often stands for his players and he’ll always view Kawhi as one of his players. What Pop did was odd but I’m not surprised by it.

  7. Rotations looking great and Russ and thies are really starting to cook in the 2nd unit. Hope Coffey does get more run if while Powell is out he provided good energy! Go Clippers!! 👏 🎉

  8. Good game in my opinion, kudos to Pop for standing up for my guy👍… I know everyone is saying we need to face good teams to get a better sample, but imo gaining CHEMISTRY against the weaker teams will be a PLUS when we face the STRONGER teams… Great content,on time as usual D!!…. CLIP GANG OR DON'T BANG !! ✌🇹🇹

  9. Liked russ pre harden. But he almost cost us this game. Along with ty lue forcing russ to close taking mann out. God that was atrocious. Twitter also going ballistic cause of that.

  10. More than halfway through and no mention of Coffey seems criminal. He can totally take all of PJ Tucker minutes tbh

  11. Just for perspective guys…. What happened when Dillon Brooks said " he pokes bears?"…. Pop said IF YOU KNOW BASKETBALL YOU DON'T POKE BEARS…..🤔🇹🇹

  12. I liked the small lineup down the stretch even though ik ty isn’t a fan of it… honestly russ and harden have looked better when they’ve been together in shorter spurts and James has been cookin since Russ went to the bench… would like to see more from t mann on O but he’s been pretty solid (understatement) on D… I like Russ’s D a lot this year ngl he’s looked pretty good and I thought he looked solid today
