I saw this as a possibility when, after tired of watching him heave unforced hail mary long bombs and often miss, I look up his stats and realized he was the 14th best shooter from behind the arc out of 15 players. Why was he shooting so many times in a game? He has the ability to be a terrific player, but he makes some bad decisions.

foreseeable mistake. poole going from a team with some of the greatest shooters to touch the court, to a bad washington wizards team, you had to expect a decline in performance. people who expected he'd get even better are fools. he's just one of many reasons why the wizards stink. organization's like the wizards look at the most recent season gamble that he's just going to copy paste it over to their team are idiots. poole was never that tier of player. not proven anyway.

Tbh fair the dubs took a chance on JP. He played like trash his rookie year, worse than this. Got better and eventually improved. He made an impact during a championship run. For Golden State no less, then they gave him the bag. He then procedes to get punched in the face by Draymond. Then traded to the Wizards. 😂🎉

I still think his ego hurt. In golden state he had it all, but everything crashed on him in his last year there. His ego got him where he is. In my opinion after he decides to finally let go of his mistake of messing up golden state chemistry, he will become the player we’ve seen.

JP can't be the 1st primary scoring option. He had steph and klay to help draw attention away from him. He is not used to being the #1 scouting report guy. The stat that really stands out, is that Poole is actually playing less minutes per game for Washington. That is crazy, especially since he was also salty about not getting enough run on GS. Becarful what you wish for.
