Zion SPEAKS OUT on Frustration With Pelicans – Trade Incoming? | New York Knicks News

Zion Williamson appears unhappy with his role with the New Orleans Pelicans. Now this is not the first time that there has been turmoil between Zion and New Orleans, and with him unhappy in his role and not giving as much effort, could we see Zion move on from the Pelicans, and if he does get traded, should the Knicks trade for him? Chris Gallagher discusses both sides of this.

  1. Zion is nice to have on the new york knicks but he is also breaking down lets be smart knicks fans. GO KNICKS

  2. I don't know if this is realistic, but I'd do it in a NY Minute!! I'd rather see Brunson gone for Donovan Mitchell. Pick up Pascal SIAKIAM and trade Randall. I believe Quickley, Mitchell, RJ, Siakam, and Robinson make us title contenders. OH YEAH, DUMP THIBBS!!

  3. Brunson isn't going to sit back and take a back seat to Zion. And on top of that, Julius is a much much better shooter than Zion is. The Knicks trade for Zion, which will lead to Zion and Robinson clogging the paint, making RJ Barrett forced to shoot much more when the strongest part of his game is driving the ball. On top of all of that, Brunson is not a pass first PG, and a good majority of his passes occur either at the very beginning of the possession or after he has spent 10 plus seconds dribbling and driving and realizing he doesnt have a shot he likes. It forces the Knicks to completely change the way they run their offense now. But I'm also a huge Julius Randle fan and who I am a fan of goes to the team he suits up for. Valanciunas is my 2nd favorite player so the Pelicans wouldnt be an awful team to see him on even if it would be his 2nd time in NO.

  4. Pelicans fan here. Nope, we don't want no Randle for Zion. How about Barrett for Zion? hehe….

  5. If this was a low risk then I would go for it but it's just way too much of a risk for the Knicks to go get this guy.

  6. Raps fan, I personally think the Knicks should stay away from Zion. He to me is from the same cloth of harden. And my biggest knocks is what you are saying the pels fan base feels. I personally think randle is better rn and even if Zion get better his play style is not something I believe y’all should try to build around. I just think it wouldn’t be a great culture either y’all are a physical get it out the mud hard playing team and that’s not Zion. Zion would have to buy in and change his whole game to fit in… you know actually try and I wouldn’t want to go through that. I also think he will get exposed really bad once he has a playoff series that people watch. I think once teams start playing chess he becomes a lot less impactful.

  7. Knicks aren't getting better with a player thats out of shape and hasn't played 60 games yet or in any post season. He plays no Defense and he doesn't Rebound his position. He also cannot shoot. This would be terrible. He cant even play back to backs. Julius Randle is better than Zion in evey category. Cannot have them both on the same team. This would be a terrible mistake.
