I think it is low key being underrated how well Darko is doing
Remember the team post-Lowry from the last few years, would they be able to pull out this much effort up and down the roster after a complete meltdown and low effort loss to ORL?
His dead ball play calls have been stellar too, as well as most of the challenges have been successful or at least reasonable (re: use a challenge late game if you’re going to lose it anyway)
He has also adjusted on the fly very well, he has changed bench lineups frequently re: Gradey didn’t play last game at all, while OPJ did briefly, and Purtle has been kept out of game finishing lineups, just generally has not been rigid with lineups
There is basically zero chance many other coaches would get Flynn motivated the way this guy has either
He fits the personality of modern NBA players very well, and he just seems like a smart and intelligent guy who knows how to maintain good relationships, which very honestly is also low key extremely important in any job for anyone

This coaching change might save Malachi’s career. Really hope Koloko recovers from the respiratory stuff he’s dealing with because I would love to see what Darko can do with him
