Oklahoma’s age of consent is 16. She’s a junior. 16 is actually on the younger end of being in the 11th grade.
It’s a weird situation, and the NBA should investigate to make sure they weren’t doing anything when she was 15, but if the age of consent is 16 there’s nothing wrong with it. A bit odd but no reason for us to complain about it. I believe where he came from also had 16 as the listed age of consent as well.
If there’s nothing legally wrong with this, then it’s not for us to judge.

The Thunder have a great thing going on. The NBAPA basically doesn’t allow for teams to suspend players in situations like these. The league would have to do it and they won’t because there are zero verified allegations of criminal conduct. Until anything is verified…like, anything…nothing has been verified at all. There’s really nothing to say and the Thunder will not allow for outside distractions, nor should they. They will keep their heads down and play basketball.

I don’t understand how a 21 yo and 17 yo having consensual sex is any worse than a 55 yo and 19 yo. It’s weird either way, but I think it is rather dumb do have this arbitrary age where one is less frowned upon than the other. Especially when there are 17 yo who look much older and 25 yo who look much younger. Idk, more information (which we probably won’t get) is needed to know who’s in the wrong or not.

So many people are jumping to conclusions with this. There is a good chance the girl does not cooperate with authorities and no charges are filed. Then everything blows over…. However is could also get really bad too. Who knows.

Im not defending him but here two interesting points I want to make :
1. There was a couple TikTok videos that has #imover21 in the description.
2. She was allowed into bars which they made a video together and yes I get that he’s a nba star but the still would’ve checked the girls id if she looked way too young.
3. There was a clip of him telling her younger brother that he was gonna see his basketball game at Sacramento so for him to publicly be seen with her knowing people will take photos.
In conclusion he is either very fucking dim witted and didn’t make sure she was 21 like she claimed or hes just a creep. Either way please wait till we get more info on the investigation because this could ruin 1 or 2 peoples lives.
