Pascal not a real star when the toughest teams come to town. Downvote it bitches

  2. Yep it passes the eye test. Haven’t been able to see Barnes against Boston with his higher usage either since Siakams skyrocketed since the Dallas game. They also switched Barnes out of the weak side defensive rile he thrived in at that point to and his block numbers fell off because they’re making him play at the top of the key all the time on defense now, aka the more taxing defensive role, while Siakam gets to be weak side defender aka the more legs friendly role on defense.

  3. I guess what this tells me is that better defensive teams are better at collapsing on him and shutting him down which cooks our entire offense as a result

I saw some people on Twitter saying this means Pascal can’t score against good teams which tells me they probably haven’t been watching the games

5 of the 7 losses came against teams at least tied for top 2 in the conference. We’ve beaten the Bucks and Mavs, and we’ve had a couple very competitive losses to the Celts and Sixers.

I know I’m in the minority but I enjoy watching competitive basketball even when we don’t win a championship.

Turns out good defenses are good at stopping 1 dimensional offenses. This says more about the rest of the rostee

It all comes down to the fact that this teams needs to be able to score at the rim. Dennis, pascal and Scottie all primarily want to. They struggle against teams with good rim protection (porzingus, bucks, gobert Embiid, etc). The good news is that I feel like they’ve already had a ton of those games, should only be getting easier.

Sadly been the story of his career. Unable to get it done against the best of the best, but that’s the case for a lot of players

Always been this way. Which is why things are tougher in the playoffs for him.

  9. passiveparrot

basically proves that they are just a borderline play-in with no playoff success in the picture

which means time to trade and shake things up

Yeah and people wanna give this guy the max? Absolutely insanity

  11. i’d like to see Pascal’s numbers when Scottie is shooting the 3 well versus when he isn’t or doesn’t. Pascal needs 1) spacing and 2) single coverage mismatch to feast. Pretty sure most games against opponents who pack the paint he has struggled.
