To be fair Pascal is a miracle period. We’ve been blessed to have him on our team, watching him improve year after year, becoming a champion and an All-NBAer.

Would be cool if he could hit some consistent jump shots and spread the floor.

He has raw talent. Just needs a few more years to develop to full potential.

But we hate watching that according to our sub.

  5. Admit it or not. He’s a max player.

Either we pay up or someone else will.

He’s a overrated player that needs to get traded 1 day and a miracle the next day. You guys are fucked

It has been absurd just how often a Pascal post/paint touch results in a bucket for us. Dude is so good out of the post and reading the defence.

And that’s with awful spacing, imagine if he had actual good spacing around him. Sheesh. I feel like that’s something we underrate with Pascal. I don’t think Masai could have built as a worse team around him the last few years, and he has still been an all-NBA caliber player. What would he look like as a second option on a team with spacing that actually makes sense in 2023?

  8. We all know that he is a good player. Top 30 in a given year and good enough to be a #1 option on a team.

The problem that we always had was that he was never a good #1 option.

After Kawhi left Masai refused to rebuild and kept pushing to get him and FVV to lead the team. It was very obvious early on what their ceiling was.

Yeah we should be happy to have a player like him just like we should be happy to have any good player on the team. However we would have honestly been better off just trading him earlier and pushing for the rebuild than having gone through this circus if pretending this team is “competitive” when it’s clearly not.

You can find a stat for any player that makes them look good. Pascal is about league average in the paint, and well below league average outside of it. He’s not some elite passer with great vision either. An offense centered around him makes us a mid team. Just accept it.

Good luck relying on his post game against embiid in the playoffs

I appreciate and respect his basketball abilities, but I would still prefer to trade him for assets in Scottie’s timeline.

Pascal shreds mismatches and teams without solid rim protectors. When teams clog the paint or you have real bigs he struggles. He really needs spacing so that when teams load up on him there’s an alternative. Teams will also push him to his left – he’s improved but weaker finishing with his left.

  13. The best offense in the league also doesn’t post up almost at all. Wanna know why? Cause it’s shit offense.

  14. Don’t really care, we don’t have the pieces to build around him rn and the cost of the max probably isn’t going to be worth it.

He isn’t the number 1 option on a contender team with other max players.

Siakam dribbling into a post-up is the same as Antetokounmpo driving for a dunk. Ha ha.
