LaMelo Ball had a rough start to the season. Over his first 5 games he was averaging, 14.6ppg 4.2rpg 8.6apg on 29.7/27/82.6 splits and a 43.4 TS%. However since then he’s been playing out of his mind. As over his last 9 games LaMelo Ball is averaging, 32.2ppg 6.7rpg 8.7apg on 49.1/43.6/87.5 splits and a 61.6 TS%. While the Hornets as a team haven’t been good. That’s not because of LaMelo Ball. Along with Mark Williams, and Brandon Miller, LaMelo Ball is one of the few bright spots in terms of long term cornerstones to build around. And I truly believe LaMelo Ball belongs in the conversation with other young guards like Tyrese Haliburton and Anthony Edwards.

I like how people wanna take Halliburton over ball. I don’t get me wrong the pacers PG is star but he just not better than ball.they both pass the ball well and ball is better scorer and has a lot more potential at defense.
Something people don’t realize is he is finishing through contact with no calls, he is only taking 4 ft a game for his 30 points which is uncommon these days

Brandon Miller should be starting over Rozier for Defensive purposes. Hornets cannot get anywhere with Rozier as a starter. They need to finally move on from him.
I hope this most recent set of games starts getting him some foul calls, if you watch these games the refs ignore blatant fouls on his drives

As a Hornets fan of course I believe in the talent of LaMelo but the general NBA fanbase does not. He is in fact a WINNING player if the talent around him isn't top tier trash. Bridges coming back is going to change their season around with Melo continuing to Ball out
