Monty and him will have 1.5 to 2 seasons together minimum. They need to work together before you can cut him. But Anthony is on point with the thought process.
The problem with this team? Zero vets. Look at the magic, kings, thunder, Rockets. All have vets. I would get a vet center. Hell I would resign Drummond. If you saw the Hines ward runs with him and cade, the synergy was there. I would get rid of Hayes, morris, Harris, Wiseman and Burks. I would look to get vet center like Drummond and a vet combo guard like Seth curry, Hardy or Eric Gordon.
I think thy are waiting on Monty Williams to have some say on what he needs.
We got Ausar under Monty, and it was clear Monty really wanted him.
I believe Monty is assessing what they have. be patient. Yall go cry if we make a horrible trade which weve made over the years. Piston Fans want something for nothing. Yall not getting All Stars for the player yall want.
Be patient. After the trade deadline then we can complain. But I believe they are letting Monty and his staff assess players.
The most alarming thing is they barely look like an nba level team at times. Its process Sixers or 2012 bobcats territory in the fourth year of a rebuild which is insane

I would like to see Troy get a new assistant GM like a former Piston.
Someone who is more familiar with the organization like a Bill Lamibeer, Scott Perry, or maybe even a Tayshaun Prince.

Look at what Pat Riley does with the Heat, he has Alonzo Mourning in the front office with him.
Gores needs to put people in the front office with Troy who is familiar with the Pistons culture.

We are not a nba level team ,we have settled for pure mediocrity it's just reality , for sure we have generational talents in ausur, duren, cade ,maybe even ivey. Apart from burks and knox let's refresh everything else
Troy’s seat has to be hot! You can’t keep depending on high draft picks to see the improvement in the Wins column. The rebuild seems to be stuck in neutral. We know that this wasn’t no RESTORATION 😡🤬
No offense but I got 0 idea where Troy gets the great talent evaluator and draft expert. The 2020 draft was a complete disaster. Missed big time on Killian, bad picks happen. Locked up future assets for stew, solid role player but they can't use their cap space of getting an actual player because they can't trade picks. And then gave up brown Kennard and 4 2nds for bey. Again solid role player. But you had 3 tries foe guys like Maxey and bane. He missed 3 times. That was a great guard draft. Great. And he picked one that is borderline unplayable. All of that with James Wiseman number 1 on his board. Debated between jalen green and cade. I don't get the faith in the draft for him
Weve been in a mess since 2007 all thank to SVG he traded a lot of good players he did Tashaun Prinse wrong !! My piatons havent been the same sinse !! Eveyone knows who we traded for Wiseman. Im loseing faith in Troy !! And as a true Detroit Piston fan i can voice my opinion !!
No FA who can move the needle is going to come to Detroit unless we sell the farm.. we have cornerstone pieces in Cade, Auser, JD, and JI. They just need time to develop and learn how to win. Fox and SGA are both 25 years old. So no, Weaver should not be on the hot seat.

Troy’s inability to put an NBA team together has been a glaring issue he can identify talent but he doesn’t freaking sign anybody. Cade is the only player we have that would start on another NBA playoff team.
