    Pros:

Aldama and Rose are looking decent

    Cons:

Literally everything, I’m not joking I can’t think of a single bright spot anywhere else in our franchise right now

At least we will never hear better without Ja ever again. 🙁

  3. CupricFlipper

Holy shit at least give Ja a fucking chance when he comes back.

This is legitimately the worst product I have ever seen Memphis put on a basketball court, and yes I have been watching for a long time. This is fucking ass.

Jenkins was heavily reliant on a strong defense, which I believe he can coordinate, and Ja’s offensive production + our rebounding prowess. Now we have lost those things he is incapable of putting together an offense. He is incapable of optimizing the talent he has on the court.

I know we are hurt and it’s a lot to ask. But holy shit the amount of possessions we had to watch where they were standing around the three point line gesturing vaguely at one another like ‘maybe you screen there?’.. ‘Pick and roll maybe?’.. ‘Do you wanna shoot? Do I?’

This is absolute garbage. Like historically bad offense. It’s both the personnel and the coach.

hard to imagine a worse way for a season to go 🙁

I know we’ve had some rough seasons in history but this has been the most unwatchable product in all of them.

just great how i watched both memphis teams get blown out today!! ive had such a great day!!

  8. I’m historically a Jenk supporter but damn this season our offense has looked atrocious. Like so bad that I’ve convinced myself Dillon wasn’t the problem on offense.

Now instead of Dillon tossing up a fadeaway high-risk shot 4 seconds into the shot clock, it’s Santi, or it’s Bane / Jaren / Rose / Roddy.

I think our offense is entirely dependent on one guy driving in to break the defense and allow for others to be open and if that doesn’t happen then just throw it up and pray ¯_(ツ)_/¯

We have no movement on offense – whether it’s on ball, off ball, with the ball – we are stagnant. That’s why we get torched in the playoffs where you have to be completely reliant on half court offense instead of running in before the defense is set.

I know we have injuries, and idk maybe the Suns’ free agent signings are better players than our G-League runner ups, but we’ve had *very* winnable games this year and we’ve looked garbage in every single one of them

We should shoot ten threes a game. Just keep attacking the rim. Only one guy on our team at this moment can hit threes. I hate watching us stand around the three point line. 9 for 33.

Also just play lofton and gg more. We aren’t winning anyways. So what’s the harm? We really thinking biyombo is a future piece?

Pretty sure for the first time in about 20 years I’m going to intentionally miss a game against the Wolves. I really hope I’m wrong but I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.

Obviously the guys didn’t play well but I’d love to see the coaching staff just try shit at this point. Anything offensively to change up the game plan. Defensively it’s frustrating watching guys go way under on known shooters, especially midrange this season. 3 pt shots are one thing but mid-range? Bam lit us up from 13 ft earlier this season and while some of the shots Booker hit tonight were all star shots, the first half and part of the 3rd quarter were wide open.

We all know Jenkins is limited with player options because of injuries, why not mix it up a bit with the game plan.

Grizzlies ticket office is going to have to do a lot better than these Black Friday deals to convince me to come watch us get our backs blown out live and in person.

We just don’t really have any strengths to leverage into wins…

We don’t have shooting, so we don’t have spacing. We aren’t getting stops so we aren’t getting out in transition. We don’t have offensive rebounding so we aren’t getting second chance points, and we don’t have the size to dominate the paint…

I just don’t know what changes any coach could implement to turn the personnel we have healthy into a winning group

  13. WE ARE TANKING. But fr if we are then ok acceptable . If there’s been no plan to punt on the year then fire Jenkins gotta be a topic . I mean just no direction ideas philosophy wtf was I watching . I was in person too 😭

  14. Jaggleson

This season is a dumpster fire. Injuries and suspension have obviously caused the team to perform this poorly.

But I genuinely believe this season can be a positive for us. Our record is going to suck. I’ll be happy with this season if we notch 35 wins.

The season can be a positive if we learn the lessons we’re being taught.

    1) Jenkins has taken this team as far as they’re getting “developmentally”

    2) We have no plays

    3) our defensive scheme will cause us to get our backsides worn out at the 3pt line in every single playoff series.

    4) the youth movement needs to stop now. The average age of our team needs to move on up to league average next season. Too many unproven young guys

    5) drop Kleiman into a pit of snakes if he drafts another “wing prospect”.

If we fail to learn the lessons we’re being taught this season, they’ll get masked in the regular season when we’re at full strength, and this team will never reach its full potential.
