BI: tries to run an offense and facilitate ball movement within Team USA

Steve Kerr: He’s passing out of iso looks versus Europeans, get him the fuck off my team.

I swear I saw so many retards in IG comments spewing this nonsense.

Lowkey it was Anthony Edwards that did it cuz clearly they planned on having him off the bench which is why they had the whole “He told me DWade came off the bench for Kobe and I said “But I don’t see any Kobe’s on this team”” quote. Ingram was likely expected to be a focal point but once Edwards became a starter he took a backseat. We’ve seen Ingram is a guy who takes time to adjust to a different role and he’s not the type who is going to force things but with Team USA he didn’t really have enough time to adjust

Willy Hernangomez is more effective every year in FIBA than most individual players in Team USA were.

BI was out the one Warriors matchup so far he need to get his revenge

I knew Team USA was cooked as soon as Kerr anointed Ant and Brunson as “the guys”. I’m like this guy is supposed to be coaching the players and getting the best out of them, but decides to play favorites instead. FIBA isn’t about individual play, and that modality played right into the opponents hands. Kerr doesn’t know how to coach a team that doesn’t have Curry or Klay on it. He’s overrated and got exposed on the national stage.

Yup, I was so excited for him to get that experience, then I watched a few games and saw Brunson and Edwards ball hogging and said welp this is going to be shit. They scapegoated Ingram but he was not the problem. Clearly you can see it this season, Ingram is balling out and Reaves had to be moved back to coming off the bench.
